Two people were found dead near a creek in Santee earlier this week as heavy rain created major flooding across the region.

Authorities responded to the area after a call came in reporting several people were in distress in a flood channel in the area as heavy rain poured down, SDSO office explained. After a search of the area, no individuals were found.

Later that day at 3:50 p.m., deputies responded to the 9700 Block of Prospect Avenue after a caller reported that a deceased woman was located near the creek.

Coach is a luxury accessories brand.

Those name bracelets are/were pretty popular. I was gifted one several years back by my aunt (and then broke it by getting it caught on a bed frame ). I bet she'll be identified pretty quickly.
Mine, which is identical in design to this Doe's, was a gift from a close friend when I legally changed my name. I still wear it. She gave it to me in 2002, I think? Maybe early '03? This Doe obviously got it a few years later than that, given the date, but not much later. (A bit jealous, the engraving on mine is quite dodgy in quality - shaky, letter sizing and kerning issues. Mama B Doe's engraver obviously knew their stuff, hers is beautifully done.)

MOO

that reconstruction is great! kudos to the artist

I just realized why her head looks so funny in the postmortem photo; they definitely took that photo after they had removed the brain and the skull cap is sliding backwards under the sewn scalp. i'd recognize that anywhere (its very hard to get the skull to not wiggle around). weird order of operations but maybe the guy with the camera showed up late, or something.

Angle was believed to be unhoused at the time of her death, which is believed to have been related to the inclement weather. A ruling on exactly how Angle died remains on hold pending further investigation, county officials said. :(
