I just noticed that some of the rule outs are from very old cases, that makes me think that the remains were extremely decomposed (skeletal?) for them to even be considering cases from so long back. I might broaden my search criteria a little I think...

I believe her clothing was manufactured in 2014. She was supposedly dead within a year. I think some rule outa occur automatically

Right, of course! I forgot about that. Interesting that the 'system' even processes automatic rule outs in that manner, to include ones from so many years back.

Just because a person disappeared a long time ago doesn't necessarily mean they died a long time ago. And sadly, many of the missing seem to have drifted into lifestyles that would have made them vulnerable to being murdered later.

I saw the likeness as well straight off!

It's crazy. I wonder how she was ruled out.

She was ruled out? I would be relieved. A huge part of me wishes regularly that she blew off her old life and has moved on. Sigh...

Probably because the UID didn't have the birthmark or scar, but it could also be on dental or dna.

Mountain Winery is right off Highway 9 in Saratoga, not far from where the remains were found. Maybe she had attended a concert there. Here's their 2014 schedule of concerts.

Villa Montalvo, also in Saratoga but located off the highway 9 portion known as Los Gatos-Saratoga Rd, also has concerts throughout the year. Not too far from where the remains were found.

There's also Sanborn Park, probably just the exit before the street where the remains were found, which has camping.

mountain winery concerts tend to be upscale and pricey. they are well attended but not "ragers" like say, the BFD show or vans warped tour, they all go to shoreline. its still possible she was there, though.

Yes, I know I've been to them. Just trying to think of other ideas why she might be in the area and yet not identified. Sounds like her body was dumped so could have come from anywhere, but usually bodies more likely to be dumped off Skyline Blvd.

very true. I am sort of thinking she came from over the hill from santa cruz, we do have homeless and runaways and im sure sex trafficking here in san jose, I feel like santa cruz has a lot more runaways from other areas than we do.

Using the official reconstruction of this Jane Doe, I was tinkering around to see what she would look like colorized.

Normally, I don't like to alter the artwork of another artist. I have colorized several of the grey CT Scan recons that the NCMEC puts out, since they are basically just a representation of the bone structure with standard tissue depths and not a whole lot of artistic input. But I usually don't like to colorize or reconstruct those beige colored recons done by the FBI, because those reconstructions are created with much more artistic interpretation by the person who created them.

But nevertheless, I was colorizing the recon of this Jane Doe, and I decided to go ahead and do a complete reconstruction of this one using the facial structure depicted in the sculpture, and the woman's blouse, and my own interpretation of her look based on the structure shown in the official recon. The structural elements of her face are identical, just a different interpretation of her look

Thank you for doing this. I've done side by sides with a couple of the missing persons I linked to a few posts up:

Watts has that hard angry look but her features appear to be very close, at least based on that one photo.

Layla Katharyne Low looks spot-on like the official recon.

She's missing from Surrey, BC, Canada

There is a five-year gap, but I wouldn't discount her as a possible based on that.

Everything else fits though.
