MISSING PERSON ALERT

Please help us find Scott Michael Herr, who went missing on July 20, 2024, in Mountain Center, Idyllwild, CA. Scott is 50 years old, 6'0", and 210 lbs, with brown eyes and a bald head. He was last seen wearing shorts, a red t-shirt, and sunglasses. He also has a distinctive Superman tattoo on his chest.

Scott was last seen walking southward from his jobsite, leaving behind his vehicle and two phones. His family is deeply concerned and asks for your help in locating him. If you have any information, please contact local authorities immediately.

There was a mention of Scott Herr in the following article about Delfino "Lupe" Lopez Fajardo, from Idyllwild, who has been missing since August 15.

Idyllwild family continues search for beloved community member missing for nearly a month

Delfino Guadalupe Lopez Fajardo, a 47-year-old father of two and beloved Idyllwild community member, has not been seen since Aug. 15, when family members say he was confronted outside of a gas station along Highway 74.

Scott Michael Herr, 50, has been missing since July 20, when he was last seen at a job site in Mountain Center. Family members say that his car was also left near Highway 74 where he vanished.

While some people in the community are questioning the possible similarities between the two disappearances, the Riverside County Sheriff's Office says that cases do not appear to be connected at the moment.

At the latest, detectives do not have any information to provide in either of the ongoing searches.

• wearing blue jeans, a yellow shirt and a black multi-colored windbreaker
• heading to the Garner Valley area
• vehicle, handbag, keys and cell phone were still at her home

There's been a fair amount of discussion about these disappearances and if they were linked. Of the six missing, two were found safely. Two were hikers, one went hiking without telling anywhere WHERE he was planning to hike, the other, liked to hike, but did so without a phone or backpack with supplies, and another one was elderly and had dementia. That really only leaves the Lydia Abrams case as being somewhat suspicious (a man who lived on her property was named as person of interest) Two of six people reported missing in Idyllwild found safe. It's 5, Rosario was found. Dia, Melissa, Roy, Scott, and Lupe. Then there is at least one pct hiker missing for years now, David O'Sullivan. And multiple missing people from Valle Vista, the last community before you go up the mountain.

I'm hung up on the missing flyer specifying that the vehicle he walked away from is his mothers. That feels like a weird detail to add, imo.
