CA - Sergio Aguiar, 2, beaten to death, Turlock, 14 June 2008

Thank God an officer shot the 🤬🤬🤬!! I wonder if the man drove to a rural area on purpose, thinking he would get away with murder easier. Sounds like he was either completely insane, on drugs, or both..

Robinson, 52, jumped from his vehicle and confronted the man, who lunged at him. Robinson said the man wasn't screaming and wasn't loud, but was forceful, saying "demons" were in the boy.

"Give me the knife. Give me the knife," the man said as he grabbed for a pen in the fireman's front pocket.

"There was a total hollowness in his eyes," Robinson said, "like I could see right through to the back of his head."

The man coming home from a late dinner describing this guy's eyes as hollow. That weirded me out. He said it was like he could see right through to the back of his head.

What in the h*ll causes that? That and demon talk. Unbelievable. Poor, poor little guy. Bless that little baby.

Answer: Meth and/or Crack. The devil was truly on that road, but he wasn't in that poor little angel. I truly want to believe that real angels were there to take that little boy in their wings and fly him home to a safe, happy place. I equally want to believe that demons were there to escort the 🤬🤬🤬 to an eternity of pain, terror, and misery. The only thing left to ponder in this sad case, is where was Mom and extended family? Why did it have to happen on Father's Day? I am so angry, it almost makes you want to go to Hell yourself, just to participate in the torture of the 🤬🤬🤬.

From rccook's link:

No children within the dead boy's age range have been reported kidnapped or missing in Stanislaus County, Singh said.

Oh my God.. :furious:

Oh my gosh - bless that little baby, may the angels fly him away home and keep him safe forevermore.

I'm just crying, what do you say? Why does this happen?

Story with more details - you may not want to read it if the first one was tough for you.

Oh I am literally in tears here for this little boy. I wish these people who came upon the scene would have jumped this man with tire irons, whatever they had, in unison.

Sounds to me like he is a crackhead or on meth..no normal person believes demons exist in little toddlers. That poor baby boy and his family.

This is just heartbreaking.

So sad. I wonder where the mom is. No one reported him missing, so does mom know, is she to dead, or is this a visitation gone bad?

This is a sickening story. It sounds like the attack went on for many minutes, and I just pray that the little boy was unconscious right away. :(

I really feel for the poor people that witnessed this scene. I'm sure they'll never be the same again. :(

Reading this prompted me to grab my son's aluminum baseball bat and put it in my SUV.

I can't even imagine what the witnesses are going through, seeing something like that and being powerless to stop it.

That poor baby, my hope is the first time he was struck he lost consciousness.

I wish one of the other drivers had thought to pull a tire iron from their vehicle

I'm with you on that. I can see how a woman might hesitate to attack the guy but were I a man, I'd do everything in my power to get him away from that child even if I had no weapon at all.

I hope there is a better reason that no one (up to a dozen people were present by the time LE arrived) was able to stop this guy. Evidently two people tried to stop this, but they were "shoved off". Shoved off? You'd have to beat me off of you before I'd let go. IIRC, one guy was a fire Chief. I hate to second guess peoples actions in a situation like this. But from all accounts the guy wasn't even armed.

ETA: I'm hearing LE couldn't get there for 6-10 mins. Thats a long time to stand around. God I hope that was not the case.

I'll give the people the benefit of the doubt until I hear more.

My initial thought on this is the man was hopped up on drugs, and that people made an honest effort to subdue this guy, but depending on which drug you are on, it may take 8-10 to subdue them.

Some drugs give people abnormal superhuman strength, and put you in a psychotic state of mind, such as PCP.

I have seen video of cops trying to subdue someone on drugs like this and it's unbelievable. I've heard it described that they are uncontrollable and incredibly strong (as well as violent) because of the drugs. Even tasers don't bring them down. I feel confident everyone tried their best, especially once they knew it was a child. I can't imagine the guilt all of them must be feeling, even though they shouldn't feel guilty.

I agree. Had I been there, I would have done my best to get him to stop or get the child out of harm's way. When I read that some were 'shoved off' I tried to play the scenario out in my mind but could not see how the bystanders would give up trying after simply being pushed away. He'd have to beat me unconscious before I'd give up trying to save that baby.

Maybe the people witnessing it were in shock..it's hard to say what goes through someone's mind when they are witnessing an event as traumatic as this but you would think that one would become angry and their adrenaline would kick in, making them react in putting forth everything they have into saving the child.

Didn't take into account the guy could have been on drugs, that could explain why no one was able to stop him. Like some of the previous posters suggested, people using (depending on the drug) can sometimes be much more powerful and also in a psychotic-like state, which would make the person frightening and difficult to subdue.

Thank you for making this point. From what I have read, it appears the murderer was out of his mind and unable to be controlled.

And that's why I'm hoping that there is more to this than just being "shoved off". Maybe it was a bad choice of words. I think the description of fighting for ten minutes with a deranged person on drugs would have been described as more than being "shoved off". I feel for all the bystanders that came across this horror. They'll never be able to forget this.

I guess we don't know that he was on drugs, but I was assuming he was on something like PCP which can really make them out of control.
