Well, I guess Sherri's sister just put the "FIL" in his place as self-proclaimed family spokesman..

"Sheila Koester, Sherri Papini's sister, said declined to provide contact information about Rodriguez and said she and Keith Papini remain spokespersons for the family."

I am wondering why he immediately went to thoughts of an abduction? I would have thought "No one is home, but Sherri's car is here. She and the kids must be out for a walk, playing at a neigbor's house or one of Sherri's friends picked them up and they are out doing something with other people." Or fill in the blank with anything other than abduction. I would be concerned, probably worried if this was not our normal, but I would have thought other thoughts. However, checking with day care makes sense to me and since the kids were still there, that would be cause for alarm. So many directions my thoughts go within his first hour of being at home from work that day.

Maybe it's a specific fear of his, or hers, or maybe there was something in the news recently (though this was before the news about KB in South Carolina broke) that made him think that immediately.

Knox...Yes, with Ce we knew pretty quickly that "something" had happened BUT that didn't immediately clear Josh. He was interviewed and reinterviewed thruout the night and the next morning, LE announced that he had been cleared and was not a suspect.

that's the point..you're not censoring your speech. If he was censoring he would have never let "I know she's screaming for me" fall out of his mouth.

I really pray that she ran off. She would be alive then and that is the best outcome ever. I hope it does not come back to spouse for her family. The betrayal and devastation that would cause would be unbearable i would think.
Would you mind giving a Websleuths link to Ce's case?
I am unfamiliar and would like to read about it.
I am sorry that happened to you and the family.

What has not been mentioned is that reportedly she was seen by a neighbor(s) on the day she disappeared. Unfortunately, no one seems to agree on the time. Anywhere from 11am to 2PM.

Sherri may have very well taken a jog..been seen..and made it home. What happened to her could have occurred while she was in her own home AFTER she returned from her jog. We cannot get stuck in the fact that where her phone was found was where she disappeared when it very well could have been planted there.

Her name was Sierah Joughin...just type in search box at top of page. Thank you for your compassion

I agree.
I also think its odd how quickly he dialed 911 and said it was an abduction. It was less than an hour..

1. He was home around 5ish.
2. No one home.
3. He called his children's day care and was told Sherri hadn't picked up their kids.
4. He used the "Find My iPhone" app to locate his wife's cell phone, which he discovered down the street.
5. He then immediately called 911 at 5:51 p.m to report Sherri missing.

RSBM

If he was home around 5 and called to report her abducted at nearly 6 --- did he call anyone at all in that time frame ?

Again, going back to the case of Laci Peterson, she was seen all over the place on the day she went missing. In the end, it seems none of the sightings were credible.
People have a hard time remembering precisely what they saw, and what day they saw it on.

The key question for me is between 2 and 3 did he try to call Sherri?

Surely that would be the very first thing you would do, come home, wife not there, childen not there ... call wife and find out where she is. Why would you jump straight to calling the daycare? Do you know that your wife won't answer her phone?

Papini relative defends against rumors husband involved in wife's abduction
By Damon Arthur

A relative of the Redding woman reportedly abducted last week took to Facebook Tuesday to defend against allegations her husband was involved in her disappearance and that she may have walked out on her family.

Rod Rodriguez III, who said he is Sherri and Keith Papini’s father-in-law, also revealed details about the investigation into Sherri Papini’s disappearance, including that Keith voluntarily turned over to law enforcement all of his computers, cell phones and tablets.

Silly-Billy - So now can we talk about what the step-father said?

I wish we knew more about Sherri's routine. If she ran the same route most days, she would be easy prey just by being predictable, petite and headphones on while jogging. Someone could easily stalk her. Have we heard if there have been any reason to think anyone had stalked her or harassed her in the past?
SABBM

Still haven't heard anything about Sherri's ex --- was it an amicable split ?
Had he tried to contact her ?

Is there a definite reason her husband jumped to the conclusion she'd been taken ?

Heavens. I don't think I've EVER seen a mainstream media outlet make a news story completely off an unsubstantiated facebook post.

I wonder if they even attempted to contact the author of the post?

Still MSM, I asked Silly Billy if we can discuss it now, lol!!!

I don't know. The ear buds aren't bothering me either.
I don't have hair as long as hers, yet it ends up in my wedding ring and caught up the hinges of my eyegalsses.
If she was running and
there was any wind, even if she had not gone missing, it happens and is not anything alarming.
IMO

Oh yes, same here! My hair gets snagged by every and anything! Thought I was the only one with the wedding ring dilemma :P
My hair actually looks to be of similar type and texture as hers is - fine but lots of it and can get everywhere.

If I'm running, sometimes I'll "rip" out my hair when I loosen my ponytail or need to quickly adjust the hair band while moving, taking some strands in the process if I'm not careful. Could be something as simple as that...
(don't even get me started when I slide aviator sunnies back over my eyes after lifting them up onto my head. /csb)

I can see both ways, though. Could be nothing or could be everything.
Of course we don't know whether it's a few broken strands or a clump or ripped from the roots or not.
Jmo.

I didn't see a SINGLE POST implying she wasn't devoted to her children because they are in day-care. It is unsual for a sahm to have kids in day-care that young. Period. Unusual, not the norm. There are plenty of reasons why they did this that make sense but we just don't know what the reason is. The only significance to me was what she does during that time. As in, does she volunteer somewhere risky? Book club she travels to in a different part of town etc.

I don't understand why people are up in arms over this decision. Nobody is judging her mothering skills. There is nothing wrong with utilizing daycare, it is simply not the norm and may indicate she works at least part time or does something aside from jogging.

Not the norm where?! My son has been in daycare three days a week since he was 2.5 years old. Before that, we had a nanny who came twice a week since he was 6 weeks old. I'm a SAHM but I also need time to take care of myself and have a few hours to do things without my child like jogging or getting my nails done or grocery shopping without a child in tow. Also, I want my child to develop social skills with other children especially since he's an only child. In daycare he learns and grows as an individual. In my area in SoCal and in my social circle this is the norm. Most of my friends are SAHMs and their children go to daycare at least twice a week. The only place I've met judgement for this was when I went to visit my family in Kentucky and they acted like I was somehow cheating and not a real mom for utilizing daycare lol! What is the "norm" varies where ever you live.

Go to Sherri's Pinterest, to the gun related board. Look at her very first pin on that board, dated 3 years ago. The short answer is yes, there was something that happened but I don't know if it was isolated, if it was in a different part of the state since she lived in so cal for some time, etc. I don't know any details but she was spooked enough to start a board with pins to various carry holsters and carry sized guns. I posted a screenshot of the pin and what Sherri wrote about it but it was deleted so you will have to google it.

Yes!!!! Since none of the neighbors have been interviewed/come forward, I'm having a hard time really giving the sightings any credibility. I wonder if any of the media has even attempted to go to the neighborhood and ask questions?

Emotions are surely running high for them. If it were my family member, I would be upset if someone was publicly running their mouth. Even if it was to defend family members. I wouldn't want anyone saying or doing anything that might interfere with LE;s efforts or turn the situation into a drama fest that would take time and effort away from finding my loved one. Probably a lot of speculating and blaming and defending going on among family and friends that they are wanting all info to go through the designated gatekeepers.

just my opinion
