I just skyped with a friend who fell and broke the bridge of her nose several days ago and she is a mess!

Of course we don't know when Sherri's nose was broken....
But i get the feeling her Mom has spoken with her but not seen her

Absolutely agree. There is so much we still do not know about SP's condition. JMO, but if she were drugged (into submission), she could've been transferred into a rehab program hours from her home to give her added protection. Her sister may have rode along with KP that morning to the hospital and seen her there. We have no way to know just how "broken" SP by this horrific ordeal. I have to believe it is earth shattering, to the point of not seeing her children right away (good choice IMO). But it's so unfair to speculate on any decisions she makes when we don't know her, her family or her suffering.

Maybe, she has been through so much and is in a mental crisis right now. Maybe she doesn't want anyone to see her the way she is. I know for sure that if that was me, I wouldn't want my children or parents to see me in that state. I would want to wait till I am mentally and physically prepared for them and myself. I really don't think that commenting on the reasons some family members haven't seen her yet is relevant at all.

I am leaning towards this being random. Maybe someone saw her at a gas station, the gym, any errand we all make, and fixated on her. Maybe they followed her home and lay in wait for the perfect chance to snatch her. It would take just a few days to learn her daily routine. Maybe they realized she does this run at a certain time of day on the same route and waited at the most secluded spot of that route. I am also thinking it was trafficking. I think that many people think that the monsters that do these things are living in these slums doing drugs all day and so comb they these supposed slums for prey. When in reality they live regular lives as us- doing food shopping, going to gym- work in regular jobs. Wonder if they recently were having work done or landscaping done on their home or if a neighbor was having some kind of work done. People who have these types of jobs can very easily gain knowledge of all living in the neighborhoods routines.

About the cell phone pings

I am not sure how LE does their analysis. I am guessing they have access to advanced computer software programs that can make analyzing much easier than manually looking through data dumps from phone providers.

The dumps themselves could be on files or discs that could be accessed by computer software.

Just throwing it out there that analyzing pings may be more easier than some people think depending on what tools LE has.

Not accounting for the increased holiday traffic, etc., that was sort of along the same lines I was thinking. While I'm not sure how easy is it, I do believe there is a way LE can access that data, cross ref and either eliminate or hit a red flag.

Hi All,
just my two cents on the strands of hair on the earbuds. It seems like KP made a point to mention the strands of hair found with the earbuds right from the get-go. Given that KP knew right away to use the find my phone app maybe the two of them had discussed or made a plan for what to do if some type of abduction scenario happened. Perhaps instead of the abductors placing the phone and earbuds to send a message it was Sherri that was trying to send the message with the strands of her hair. I know my DH and I have a code phrase to use over the phone in case we need to covertly communicate that one of us is not ok. It seems a little farfetched that Sherri would be able to think of that in the heat of the moment but it is possible.

I get that, Dex ... I know what you're saying, and I don't disagree. But WS is FULL of cold cases, loved ones who shouted from the rooftops for their loved ones to be found, people deemed "not attractive enough" or their story "not compelling enough" for media publicity and talk shows, common everyday people without financial resources and backing to hire PI's or put huge amounts of money on the table, before crowdfunding, etc. Sherri coming home, if not about the ransom, was the luck of the draw. It wasn't about Keith, unless it was a financial resolution. Thousands of families, husbands and parents have wrecked their health and their very lives in an effort to bring loved ones home, to no avail. Keith is no different. He's just one of the lucky ones.

And even if I was $2 trillion in debt.

I would still offer 5 trillion to get my wife back and sue me or arrest me later for lying.

I don't think it would really matter. Not knowing who the phone belonged to would be no help whatsoever. Also, a dumb phone would be impossible.

I still cannot wrap my mind around her not being kept in hospital. If nothing else, she had lost 13% of her bodyweight, and not by eating right and exercising. It really boggles the mind.

I guess it brings to my mind my sister, who ultimately died from an eating disorder, but anytime we were able to get her near a hospital, they kept her at least overnight to pump some nutrition into her, if she weighed under 100 lbs. And this was without other varied injuries.

On a happier note, my niece is in labor...will be the first child among all nieces and nephew.

With the greatest of respect to your sister's situation, I think the difference is that Sherri (presumably) would go home and eat. Your sister would have been kept in and had nutrition pumped into her because she wouldn't do that for herself.

If a hospital has done tests and assessments and, even if there are injuries and concerns, if there is no treatment applicable, they will release the patient. Especially if they have ascertained they will receive care at home.

I don't think this is a red flag. IMO.

The only thing that jumps out with Michigan is the kidnapping of Sandra Harris in Washington for a $250,000 ransom. It happened the day after the ransom for SP from the anonymous donor was made public. SH was killed, left on the side of the road and they arrested TW shortly after the money had been picked up (IIRC, with blood in the backseat and ammo possibly linked to the firearm that killed SH). TW was from Michigan and had ties there, she was driving a rental car from CA. It would be a wild shot at best if there was a connection. Michigan just made me think of poor SH. I hope it wasn't a copy cat crime with SP's disappearance all over the media. MOO

Detroit and Grand Rapids are known for sex trafficking. I think that is what LE was looking into. Not sure though.

I am not thinking it is a red flag. Just very shocking to me. I have been kept overnight after minor surgery, just for observation. Seems the least they could have done, Imo, unless she refused or insisted on leaving.

There's a lot you can do just with plain old Excel. I've handled call data for a healthcare provider and training data for a bank and whether you're dealing with 1000 rows of data or 1,000,000 rows of data, you're doing the same thing and it's rather trivial regardless of the size of the data to find matches between sets.

I have checked myself out of the hospital and refused to press charges or let them take pictures of injuries in my past. Maybe she just wanted to go home and be with family so she had them release her. Just a thought,
