Did you watch it? Tell me that’s normal behavior from a mother with a missing daughter. Mom is acting like she’s talking about a flat tire.
No. I did not watch it. I only read it. I'll go back and watch it.

BBM: Respectfully, I think that when the sleuthing of SP revealed that blog w/ the negative racial comments, it ticked people off and their attitude changed towards her ... and then when she is miraculously released by her abductors, she states that her abductors were 2 Hispanic women ... so again, back to her negative comments from her blog.
I don't think people were intentionally hateful - I think they saw through her for what she really was - or is.

MI?
Interesting
I see evidence that the kidnapping could have been staged (or SP's version of it, at least):
14. A prior internet entry by a Sherri Graeff (SP's prior husband is adamant that SP didn't write it) that states she had to constantly defend herself against Latinos in high school, a group of Latino girls would "constantly rag and attack" her, she had to "constantly stick up for herself instead of knuckling under what the Latino girls said and wanted", a Latino girl took a swipe at her and SP "lunged back at her, slamming her head between the bleachers" (sound familiar?) This is WAY TOO coincidental.
15. Also stated in this blog post: "on the way up the bleachers when I had rebuffed theLatinos, I had split my leg openand it was hard for me to walk. But when my dad picked me up from the police department, the only thing he kept saying to me was, "Sher, I'm proud of you. You did the right thing. Keep on walking. Don't let your leg slow you down. Keep walking."
I really don't expect either one to come out and talk with the media. I have seen how that has gone way too many times when innocent people talked to the media about what they or their loved one endured. It never seems to go well. Many were totally ripped to shreds by the internet masses and many of them turned out to be totally 100% innocent yet all it caused is more fodder for the ones who totally believed they were all lying.
All I really care about is both of them are still fully cooperating with LE/FBI and these agencies said they are. In the information released by LE they also called the two women suspects.
One of the reasons I hope this case is solved is because if it is not then this woman will still under a cloud of suspicion by some. The worst thing a victim can experience or their family members is to have the case go unsolved when often times the longer its unsolved the more social media relies on assumptions.
I may be wrong but I thought when this first happened a poster linked a couple of articles showing where this kind of kidnapping and branding had happened before? If anyone has those links again I would be interested in reading them again. tia
I cannot and will not call this woman a liar when I have no evidence to support that. If and when the FBI comes out and says they have proof she lied and made the entire thing up... then and only then will my opinion change. I do not believe a hoaxer would go to the extreme of branding their own bodies.
I also believe having her long hair cut would be very traumatic for her. It is one thing to decide to cut one's own long hair but a totally different matter when it was done while being kidnapped by someone who had absolutely no right to do so. To me it was done to demean and humiliate her and showing her she had no control over anything at the time.
JMO though
They're damned if they do and damned if they don't with respect to the media. I've certainly seen that over and over.
If they don't speak they're hiding something. If they do, they look shifty, too dramatic, to stiff, evasive, whatever. And these are cases where the people were absolutely innocent (but people thought they may be involved in a disappearance).
And in a case where the person survived, I might keep my mouth shut if it were me or my family. My ordeal would be no one's business. I would just want to get better.
There have been no links to this kind of kidnapping as she was not trafficked. And the kidnapping cases involving branding involved trafficking. And tattooing is how they "brand", typically.
As to not going to such lengths if the case is a hoax, well people have gone to extreme lengths for attention, revenge, etc.
The experts also pointed to a couple of high-profile criminal cases over the years that featured people feigning serious bodily and psychological trauma.
The most notable is the case of Tawana Brawley, a 15-year-old African American girl from the New York City area who in 1987 created a media firestorm after she told detectives she was raped by six white men.
When she was found, she had “KKK” written across her chest, a racial slur on her stomach and her hair was smeared with feces. She was so traumatized, according to news reports, that for a time she could answer only yes-or-no questions by blinking her eyes. But a seven-month investigation, involving thousands of pages of testimony, revealed the story was fabricated. A former boyfriend later told reporters Brawley had invented the story to avoid a beating after she ran away from home.
In another case, Darlie Routier told investigators in Texas that on a summer night in 1996 an intruder clad in dark clothing and a baseball cap entered her house, stabbed her two sons to death and slashed her neck and shoulder with a knife. She was convicted after prosecutors proved she killed the boys and inflicted her own injuries.

Minutes before Gonzalez's arrest around 2 p.m. on Feb. 1, 2008, Tim Geiges placed a frantic 911 call. By the account he would give consistently in years to come, he'd just returned from work and found his wife, Tracy West, naked and bound in an upstairs bedroom of their Simi Valley home in the 1900 block of Penngrove Street.
"Somebody tied her up, and I just got home — oh my God…" He was whimpering. "I just untied her head just now. She's crying. I need somebody, please!"
He found West, 33, in the emergency room of Simi Valley Hospital and followed her across the street to Safe Harbor, a forensic facility where sexual assault victims are examined and interviewed. Her appearance suggested an attack of concentrated malice. Her face was swollen, her lip gashed, her hair torn out in chunks. A cord, found tied around her neck with a slipknot, had left an angry red line, and there were burns on her stomach and ring finger.
Later, Del Marto would remember how she looked away and pulled herself into a fetal position as she talked. It was the body language he'd seen in dozens of sexual assault cases.

Jemma Beale has been described as a "very convincing liar" who injured herself with barbed wire to back up one of her claims.
Jemma Beale was branded a "very convincing liar" as she was sentenced for four counts of perjury and four counts of perverting the course of justice.
The 25-year-old from Bedfont in west London had claimed she was gang raped by nine male strangers and sexually assaulted by six men in four different encounters over a three-year period.

Earlier this year, Harmon ran into a Denison, Texas, church and told the people that she had been kidnapped and raped by three masked black men. At the time she was wearing only a bra, T-shirt and underwear and was bloodied and looked battered—apparently to sell her story, which successfully incited racist backlash all across social media.

What is different here is I believe there was a report that SP had injuries at various stages of healing. That would not fit with the profiles of people who fake this kind of thing.
It's KP that calls SP's hair her "signature" long hair. Like she's a model or movie star. I think the hair meant more to him than anyone else. Just a vibe.
This is where I can't wrap my head around this being a fake ordeal. The injuries at various stages of healing indicates repeated and ongoing abuse.
We don't know how bad the injuries were, though. I'm a clumsy person and at any point in time I will have bruises of various different shades across my body. We have KP's description of Sherri after the attack but IMO he speaks in a hyperbolic way so I'm not sure she was as bad as he described.
:seeya:
BBM: JMO but I have absolutely no doubt that she is reading everything and anything about her: the good, the bad, and the ugly !
I find it very odd for someone who loved to be photographed NOT to do an interview after she recuperated from being released from her abductors.
WHY no interview and WHY no photographs of this so-called "supermom" ?
All JMO and :moo:
But that's not the same thing. Satchie's point seemed to be it was release in exchange for the promise, not that money had changed hands. My question is, what would be their motivation in release for promise?

Not necessarily. I have recovered from many years of anorexia. It takes much longer than a month for your vitals to become alarming, typically. But are you so thin that the weight loss resulted in you being 80 something pounds? I think many people could lose 10-15lbs and have it not be a real big issue, but when you weigh 80lbs as an adult, that's serious.
I have noticed that KP seems like he almost speaks likes he's gone over it prior. Some of it does seem for shock value or something. Idk. But, I do believe that she was repeatedly beaten, chained, branded, starved, hair chopped off, etc. One can't have different degrees of healing and severe weight loss in a day. So this was ongoing. That's where I do think that this probably was not self inflicted.
All very interesting, but, some folks can pass lie detectors. He may not have known specific answers. Did you harm your wife? No. Do you know where she is at? No. He probably could answer many things correctly, if SP staged something as a bored housewife. She sold that stuff online and was a mom. It seems SP likes a little drama in her life from reading the articles.
I reviewed the sheriff's press release.
The press release does not indicate she was emaciated. KP did. The press release does not indicate her hair had been "chopped off". KP said that. Instead, the press release states "her hair had been cut to shoulder length". The press release does not indicate she had injuries at different stages of healing. But I was sure I heard that in an interview. Anyone?
It's possible KP passed the lie detector because he truly didn't know anything (in the early stages). I think it's possible SP made contact with him later on and could've even said I'll be home for Thanksgiving.
If she got into something she didn't want anyone to know about and found herself in over her head, who would she contact? I think the answer to that might be her husband. In her shoes, that's what I would do, in hopes that he would protect me and 'fix it'. All just speculation on my part.
I wonder if SP reads here? Probably she is going about her life, trying to put it all behind her. But I have had a secret hope that she will follow this thread and be unable to stop herself from joining in to explain. My dream.
Perhaps she thought she was meeting up with someone she met on the internet and that person turned out to be some sort of a freak?
I don't know what the whole story is but I'm confident we aren't getting the whole story! LE releasing the info about communicating with a man (uninvolved with her disappearance), and then saying there might be (if they need to?) release of further information?
I'm trying to logically guess where this is going!
What would releasing info about a man she was communicating with, who had no involvement with her disappearance have to do with releasing (or not) anything else in the near future?
I'm stumped!

mmm.......it is special to note what was said by LE. However, we know from other cases as well that LE doesn't tell us very much necessarily. Whereas a loved one would be more apt to not filter too much. So, I believe LE has not been completely open about her injuries or lack of, I also think KP told the truth about her injuries and maybe embellished.I do believe he was horrified at what had happened to his wife.
