Is the case ftom 1998 still open? Can it be posted there, since it's relevant to another case?
No and I don't know why!! There are a lot of things being presented as fact that are complete guesses or theories in this thread. Luckily I've been paying attention.

Totally understand but each comment should have a disclaimer. "If the shoe found was hers.. " "If the checkbook found turned out to be hers.. "They're probably taking them into consideration since it's all they have to go on. Only facts are from KP and people even question those (myself no longer included) which leaves them literally nothing to go on. Th reports, the fb comments, Pinterest, it's just an attempt to grasp at straws and paint a picture. Clues are all there are, no facts.
Hard to say. I believe LE themselves has even said they're being tight-lipped on the evidence they have, like they will only talk about the phone. I do think whatever LE has, LE isn't publicly disclosing it and that it's more than just the phone.
I am new here. I joined websleuths specifically to follow this case. I am devastated about her disappearance the day that I heard about it (November 3rd). I have been hoping, like alot of you, that they would and will find her safe & sound. The days just keeping going by and nothing has changed. I feel terrible for her family and the pain that they are experiencing. Let alone her being lost, we just got a new president, holidays are coming and her babies aren't able to have their mother around. Additionally, her and her husband seem so much in love. From the start, I felt that the husband was not involved, even after hearing suspicious actions, it wasn't enough for me to think he had something to do with it. His face tells me he is absolutely broken, hurt and devastated. My heart truly goes out to them and I pray that they get that long awaited phone call.
I am a stay at home mom with a 5 month old. She is my whole world, aside from my husband. I would imagine, based on what I've seen and gotten to know about her from the news, Sherri adores her family and would kick this perps a** just to get back to them. I have a sense that if she was abducted, she is fighting hard. If it were me, I would be doing the same.
My degree is in criminal justice and my passion is law. I am amazed about the type of people that are in this world and what they are capable of. It's honestly terrifying. With this case, I feel that she was absolutely being monitored by the perp and it was a planned. I also feel that she is not far from where she was taken. I have found that after researching cases, women captives predominantly are kept within a proximity of a few miles from where they live or a location that they frequently go. I feel that this might be the case with her.
I got so invested in this case that I looked at the sheriff's logs on the day that she went missing. I noted that there were 3 abandoned 911 calls. The time that the calls were placed was later that evening. I also posted that information on imgur. It could be something, it could be nothing. My gut is telling me it's something until I hear otherwise.
I live 2 hours away from Mountain Gate. If I had the capability of getting out there to help in the search, I absolutely would. Instead, the only thing I can do is sit here helpless & hopeful and follow the Internet news.
I pray that the community stays involved, doesn't let this case disappear, and continues efforts in getting this wife and mother back to her family.
Lastly, for the victims that are in this thread, my heart goes out to you too. Bless all of you my friends and keep the awareness strong.
Thanks, I agree:Just a request that when posting links please also a post description of the info. I'm running out of views on that particular site and about to hit the paywall, so every time I click a link it counts against me. Thanks!![]()

Hi - I'm new here and registered because of my interest in the Long Island case. I have also been watching this case with interest and my initial thoughts weren't good. I truly don't think the husband had anything to do with this. To me it was a casebook stranger abduction case. I know they are the rarest but everything seemed to line up. Alone, jogging a familiar route, very cute and petite blond, distracted by music - the items found. I could see it happening in my mind's eye. I think they will find her but I don't think the result will be positive. (I'm a 60 something pragmatist who spent her life as a professional counselor, studying criminal behavior and personality disorders.) Thanks for allowing me to share.
We had the same problem when trying to figure out where K.B. and boyfriend were. We had no clues. Thank god a detective was on the case and they found her!
A couple quick thoughts....
Whatever evidence they have gathered in addition to the phone is still not enough for them to classify it as abduction.
Would the FBI be brought in if they suspected suicide or voluntary missing?
Thank you for welcoming meForums are a new thing for me and this site seems right up my alley for the type of involvement I would like to be a part of.
I feel the same way you do as well. I protest my feeling that way though because as soon as I do let that conclusion develop in my mind, it's me giving up that strong drive to keep awareness alive and an excuse for myself to feel ok about letting it go. Who knows, maybe the incentive for the reward might help the person who has her come up with an alternative to keeping her. We rarely hear about that but maybe this time is different.
I am curious about Sherri's mother. Has anything been heard from her?
