The sheriff himself stated it is rare. Among missing adults, 80% of the cases are spouse/ significant other related, 20% are actual abductions.

I can't find the MSM link but I recall the sheriff said it was rare and then had a list of thing you should do to prevent it from happening to you. So, not so rare that you shouldn't take precautions.

I found it. Here's the link with the safety tips.

Maybe "from" lunch might mean coming home after lunch, as in working only a half-day or something?
Or he had a lunch date with someone specific and had said he might come home after?

But why didn't she wait to hear back from him?

eta: I'm slow today.

I've been puzzled about the two-hour window before he replied, and the reply was "no, it's going to be a late day" - not, "sorry I missed this." The 1:39 text to say "late day" does make more sense with "are you coming home from lunch," actually.

Maybe even if she expected him to say yes she knew it wouldn't be before noon so she went off on her run anyway. Like if she knew she didn't hear from him before a certain time it meant he wasn't coming home.

The timing of her text to him and being spotted at 11am make sense to me. His text back to her, even though it was late, sort of makes sense. What doesn't make sense is her phone going off at noon and him not texting her again after the "late day" text. It seems like he would have expected to hear from her.

I'm not suggesting this makes him guilty of anything - only that it's weird. Maybe there was somewhere else she went in the afternoons after her run and picking up the kids? I don't know.

Do you have a link about the pastor praying for a change of heart and how it may have been directed to SP? If not, then it's as you said, we don't know the facts and to assume that some unknown former life caused her to inflict a horrendous pain on her family and children is completely baseless, IMO. She was planning what to take to Thanksgiving dinner at her in-laws and preparing for the Turkey Trot. Pinning on Pinterest in the weeks prior. From all verified accounts, she is a loving mother, wife, daughter and sister. I don't want to dredge up the whole daycare thing. But SP had a professional career and for all we know, could have been taking classes or preparing to reenter the work force, or volunteering, or any number of things of which we don't know. As for her mother being "mad", I'd be too, along with a laundry list of other emotions. She believes her daughter has been abducted (likely having more knowledge of what happened than we do). My heart breaks for her whole family, I can't imagine the pain they are feeling.

Did SP return to a former lifestyle? Is that what the family would call "abduction"? Is that why they would plead to have her released? Is that why "she could be anywhere"? Is that why her mother was "mad"? And why the pastor prayed for a "change of heart"?

Change your heart, Sherri.

Hi Guy,
First post here! It literally took from yesterday till about an hr ago to catch up on everything. I don't mean to change the topic, but does anyone else follow the gofundme page? And by follow, I am referring to the comments? Since last week (before I came on here ) I keep going back and reading this person's comment..I am not sure why??? They commented 6 days ago and it was more of a "look at me look at me" type. I don't know maybe it's just me

Welcome to WS! I just looked and yeah, that is an obnoxious paragraph to write on the page of a missing woman.

I really think he could have just stumbled over his words as a very distraught man whose wife is missing.

But his afternoon text before he arrived home to not see her there makes more sense if it was sent in the context of 'from' rather than 'for.'

I don't know that the first link you supplied is legit and question the accuracy of the information on it. There is also another HFSP FB page, but it is not the one run by her family.

The official website (at least for some members of the family) says this as far as her routine (and also the website makes no mention of the ransom):
"As part of her routine, Sherri usually picks up the couple’s two children and jogs in the afternoons."
http://findsherri.com/
While KP said this based on both the text he received and witnesses:
"Keith says he believes his wife went jogging around 11 a.m., shortly after he didn’t return her text. 'I am putting her leaving around that time,' he says. 'That is based on the text I got, and there were some people I spoke with that were cutting down a tree, and they informed us that they saw my wife running.'"

"From lunch" certainly makes more sense given KP's response about it being a late day and given what earlier articles said - that KP would sometimes be home and watching the kids when Sherri jogged.

I wonder what the normal routine was when Keith came home from lunch - did he get the kids? And if he did, was there a text after the 1:39 one saying something like "Sorry I can't get off early and get the kids so can you/did you get them?"

IMO

After lunch, before lunch or for lunch makes more sense

omg 6 threads! I just started on thread 1.
I'm late to this one and wanted to start from the beginning not to miss anything. I was gonna comment on the first thread but not sure how much info has been found out since then. <modsnip>

I wish I had the day off work so I could catch up on these threads haha.

Yes, KP has been cleared.

The sheriff also isn't saying it's an abduction. Your stats would have to be based on missing cases that have been solved. IMO, there are a lot of missing person cases that remain unsolved or written off as the victim leaving voluntarily because there is not enough evidence to legally support an abduction. Still doesn't mean they left on their own or didn't meet foul play. I'm guessing traffickers also don't ask the age of their victims before abducting them.

The sheriff himself stated it is rare. Among missing adults, 80% of the cases are spouse/ significant other related, 20% are actual abductions.
