So, basically, the whole bit about DNA being found was a rumor, according to that article?

Yes all along all the said was forensics which could be anything such as info from her phone laptop anything.i saw one article saying DNA and that was it,

If they found DNA of someone unknown to the investigation, then I don't think LE would have said "...the kidnappers, if there are any..." as is printed in that article. So what did they find that was useful to them??

Where you able you find any friends from MH? I honestly can't think of any of her friends that are from Morgan Hill..

That's probably why her MH schoolmates weren't alarmed that she hadn't shown up to Sobrato High. Seems like no one knew, or very few did, that she wasn't at school that Friday until later in the afternoon. LE would know who was looking for her because of the cell phone records found the next day.

You can't click through 6000 tweets and remember accurately what time of day she posted, what day of the week, etc. It's too much data.

I can and do. There has been so much disinformation posted about SL twitters that I wonder "WHY"? WHY the misdirect/misinformation? Someone/some people are leading to a different direction(s) for a reason. IMO.

NOT YOU... don't mean to imply that AT all, but games are being played. Sad :( but that's JMO.

Yes, I don't recall then using the word DNA at all. They just said they had some leads to investigate after getting back information from crime analysis. This could mean forensics that were done on the computer or phone, finger prints or DNA.

So many other rumors also and a lot of different interpretations of words that were spoke by a frantic mother, who's daughter is missing and hoping she ran away and not the other scenerio.

I was never "alarmed" when a schoolmate didn't show up for class in high school. Why would I be?

I was never "alarmed" when a classmate didn't show up for a college class either. Why would I be?

IMO: they have DNA.. They know who is involved..but they have to get more evidence to seal up the case. if they move too quick the perp will know LE is on her/his trail... So instead, LE is keeping everything close to the vest... IMO... They have a lot more stuff on the perp/s than we think..

SL hair appt. was for the NEXT weekend. Her dad made a "funny" at her vigil about she needed to get home for that appt.

“Sierra, we can’t wait for you to come home. We can’t wait to see you dance again, and we can’t wait to see you cheer again. You have to come home before Saturday because you have a hair appointment,” he said, offering a lighter moment to the hopeful crowd.

Sadly Dad does not seem to be aware that she was no longer on any dance or cheer team.
And it is entirely possible that the appointment was made AFTER Sierra left/went missing as an inducement to have her return sooner.
As their previous statements regarding Sierra's next visit to Fremont, neither her sister nor her father mentioned that Sierra HAD a hair appointment set up.

I agree, Hound. I think the hair appt. was made after Sierra disappeared.

Steve LaMar made the comment about the hair appt. 4 days after Sierra went missing. I think he was still in the mindset of believing that she had run away from home, and he was trying to offer her a reason to come back.

You don't have to twitter, but anyone can read twitter. Just like reading posts here or you can start at post 319 and not know what the previous posts said and ask for an update. Anyone can READ or scroll back. It's easy, but I guess some just choose not to. K. I'd rather know myself and not rely on someone to tell me. That's just me. :seeya:

How would we know who to look up on twitter in this case? If we are not led to who is saying what? I have a hard enough time trying to figure out who the original thought is from, w/o having a translator. AND I was on twitter and had an account. I don't think it is clear. It takes some experience to maneuver around on twitter.

....and what has happened to the English language is sad. I think it has poured out into all parts of our culture.

One of the media sources reported that DNA had been found...that is what I was referring to...

As far as the tweet/text she sent that morning...and why the person was not worried...maybe she sent it to a friend in Fremont, not MH?

Well if the DNA found belongs to a stranger to LE, then they would KNOW she was kidnapped, basically, right? That would pretty much remove any lingering doubt? JMO

http://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/Clue-Found-in-Sierra-Lamar-Disappearance-143815416.html

I hate pasting typed links but in this it is said that underwear was found. I usually don't read these articles but somebody said that it was never mentioned that underwear was recovered.

yes, the article says Cardoza says...but there are no " " actually quoting him. And if you watch the video at the bottom of that article that is the actual press conference and starting at 1:18 he talks about the bag. He says a t-shirt and pants. Never mentions bra and underwear at all.

I watched it live and never heard him say that and I still haven't heard him say that. It has been printed that he said he but it's always without quotations.

So :waitasec::waitasec:

Not alarmed, but when I was sick and my best friends were looking for me at lunch or in a class they'd text me "where r u?", "u didn't come today?", "u sick?", etc.

It just didn't seem like Sierra had close friends In MH like she did in Fremont.

No. Dad made the hair appt and it was ridiculed that a DAD would do that... for some odd reason. Go back to earlier THREADs.

Sierra’s father, Steve LaMar, told ABC News he has no reason to believe she was planning on running away. He said there was “nothing out of the ordinary” about her behavior before her disappearance. He spoke to her Thursday evening and she asked him to make an upcoming hair appointment for her.
http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlin...sing-california-teen-sierra-lamars-cellphone/

The night before Sierra went missing, she asked her father to make an appointment to get her hair highlighted. He said he texted her the next day to say he had, but never got a reply.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/huff-wires/20120328/us-searching-for-sierra/

MORE if you wish.

It probably had something to do with the appointment being scheduled for Danielle and Sierra. In which case, it would seem more probable that Danielle would have made the appointment.

These are after the fact statements, of his original account about it.
And really has no bearing on the case.
Just making observations, where he in his "lighthearted" moment he may got carried away and said some things that were not accurate also, regarding the dance/cheer thing.
And why would he tell Marc Klaas it was on a Friday?
Unless Marc Klaas was just making that date up, or just got mixed up.

To me since the father and Marc Klaas were in disagreement about when this appointment was, it may not be accurately reported.

I agree I think we are getting close to a breakthrough in the case.

That is the part that bothers me one media source. All the other said forensics this is the same media channel that when the twitter happened last week said that LE was talking to the hackers. When all other media including the LE spokesman said Thet do not know who hacked into her twitter.

I am sure you have an impression, but nowhere near the level of detail an analysis a spreadsheet could deliver as to the times and dates. How many weekend nights was she home tweeting vs out in the period those 6029 cover? Was tweeting or tumblr activity before school common, if so how so, and so on. Nothing to do with the actual content but pattern.

I agree that how people have taken the content of her social media seems often misconstrued to me, people not understanding tumblr or twitter, how the timestamps work, reading a lot into song lyrics etc. I think it is lack of familiarity versus conspiracy, or people finding confirmation of preconceived notions.
