I've been looking for the picture we discussed on here forever of where they found her juicy bag. It was a picture showing the side of the shed and the cactus. Does anyone have it handy?

It does bother me but the media knew it had a black hood and didnt have the actual photo of the Jetta so they did the best they could to replicate it.
IMO
But then why show it 24 hours later? I don't get it.They are suggesting they already had the car when they described it and showed a stock photo of a "mid-90s Jetta". If they HAD the actual car, there must be a reason they showed a similar car but not the car.

snipped from : http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/05/0...o-disappearance-california-girl-sierra-lamar/
Authorities have found a red Volkswagen Jetta with a distinctive black hood that surveillance video links to the disappearance of 15-year-old California girl Sierra LaMar.
No other details regarding where or how the car was found, or who owns, it were immediately available, as the search for LaMar continues two months after she vanished.
Still catching up here ... but I see that LE has this vehicle in their possession ...
JMO, but once this vehicle is "processed", they will know IF Sierra was in this vehicle -- OR -- if she was NOT in this vehicle ...
I sure hope they release whether or not she was in that vehicle so that the investigation can move on ...
:moo:
Perhaps rather than ending up having the public pursue a lead that might not pan out, they waited UNTIL the lab results came back. The statement that it was MORE than a coincidence supports the theory that they DID find her hair or dna in the car, and waited for the test results to come back before asking the public to come forward, which they did in a manner that would suggest to the perp (if he was watching) that they were still looking for the car, and therefore weeks behind him. Suddenly they produce the car, and say they have had it a while, and he's probably FREAKING OUT in a big way. Now he will do something spontaneous and careless and they'll have him. If Sierra is not where he is, he may not go get her (OR harm her) in his hurry to beat feet out of town. He knows they KNOW who he is (or will imminently) and there's nothing to be gained by killing a witness.

But sadly there probably isn't much lost in killing a witness either...isn't kidnapping considered a potential life in prison crime anyway? JMO
Also, a live witness could also tell what else he might have done to her, adding more and more charges...
That is exactly what I am saying. It doesn't make any sense. If he wanted to remain anonymous, he should have just called the tip line. What if the perps saw this video and went to the spot to watch him? Or the police? It would have made more sense if he had already placed the piece of paper, and then posted the video.
After watching the video three times, I think the guy is bogus. He could have submitted anonymous tips to the SO. Putting this on YouTube is way out there, IMHO. That being said, I hope it was sent in to LE for further review. The second video showing the writing could have been photoshopped ("one month ago"), plus the speaker had nothing definite such as day, time, etc. but sure could describe "the two Hispanic guys" who looked like professionals. I hate to think of LE chasing down leads that are thrown out there to put the investigation off track.
(took me awhile!) he's trying to say that there is a video on YouTube regarding SL's case from a month ago, and that he had posted a comment there.
He was a mess. He obviously did not gather his thoughts before making the first recording. He came back to add onto his message. He obviously did not stop to write out what he was going to say, and probably never thought about the fact that there could be a flash mob on Bailey at 3 as people come out to see who this guy is! He obviously should have done what you say, and may realize it before he leaves the X, but... He sounded freaked out. And young. Under 24.
I know my fellow sleuthers are always on top of things so I'm sure you've already seen this. I know LE stated that they don't believe the Walnut Creek attempted abduction was tied in but I saw something today where a flier was being passed out to area residents with a picture of an old man (the attempted abductor) and the red jetta pic, asking for information on the two. I only went back to page 30 but didn't see anything like this. Has this already been covered?
ETA - "the attempted abductor" meaning the Walnut Creek one. Where the guy was stalking the girl at her school.
