With his attitude, the folded clothes makes sense.

Just wondering how they got a DNA match?

IIRC, the day they found the car, they announced that they knew who owned it and that he had provided DNA samples. Made me think it would NOT be him, but someone who had borrowed his car.

I am willing to bet they kept him under surveillance for so long in hopes he may lead them to an alive Sierra - or else where he put her body....

Whichever feed I was watching (ABC one) had twitter scrolling going where it said that Mark Klass asked his director to see if suspect signed up for any search areas.

Did LE say they were surveilling him since March 28??!!

yes ma'am.. and they have had the car since 7 april and also served search warrants on him as well

That is exactly how I understood it too Lava! They are basing it off of her not being in contact with friends or loved ones, her personal belongings being found, and the fact that they know that he took her.

It really doesn't sound like they have anything definitive except years of working on cases like these to come to the conclusion that she is dead. Unfortunately, I think that they are right. Why would he keep her alive unless he sold her?

Unfortunately, I do think she is dead. I just worry about the evidence for that when it comes to a case. For example, if they had real evidence and it was a guarantee conviction, or at least very likely, they could barter for the location of her body with a lesser sentence (Like taking DP off the table). But if he thinks they don't have anything he isn't going to talk at all. And I would rather see him doing life and allow that poor family to bury their daughter IMO. And I would definitely rather him do life than get a lesser sentence for just kidnapping.

I am hoping that the wife of the suspect has a conscience and will help LE with any and all information that she can come up with that might help to find Sierra. I imagine that she is devistated as well. I sincerely HOPE that she is not involved too; although it is unlikely, we do know that it does happen. I also hope that he has some other family members that will cooperate with LE .

I get the feeling they have. She said a lot of what we/the public/press hasn't seen is what led to his arrest. She made mention of circumstantial evidence as well.

They did mention, (didn't they?) that a taser was used in one of the 3 cases that may related? It is my understanding that they waited so long, hoping he would lead them to her.

I wonder if Sierrsas mom is hoping she was sold to some sort of ring. (Better than death) with so many missing teens since 2011 it sounds as if they might think that it could all be related. What do this other missing persons look like? what do the 3 cases in which the victims ecscaped harm look like?

41 missing children/teens in that one county alone since 2011???

OMG! Could this creep be a serial killer?

They have usually murdered many before they are even caught.

IMO

The only thing that concerns me is that he had plenty of time to talk to "jailhouse lawyers" during the time his car was impounded until his arrest. This leads me to believe that he is not going to talk.

ETA: Add to that, his experience is that you can be arrested for assault but sometimes the prosecution will drop it. The sheriff said his felony assault charge, which is what got his DNA into CODIS in the first place, was never prosecuted.

I wish we knew which of the three assaults he was linked to!

Just thinking, the other victims had a chance to get away...Sierra had no chance at all...

I believe they said one victim had a knife that he took away & tried to use on her but still she got away..Did he ever actually taze the other victim? That wasn't clear..The one that locked her car doors was an easy escape.

Maybe they were older &/or wiser then Sierra? So many victims believe if they go along with the attacker they'll end up OK & that's so rare..I wish all victims would realize this!

I still don't get WHY he was not charged in ANY of these other cases!

He was arrested two times. ONe was a felony and that is how his dna got into the system. I think she said it was assault. jmo

I think she said they were all females and this is just since November! Crazy!

I am wondering about the lack of blood in his car but circumstantial evidence was found and they would not comment on what was in the car . . . could it be mucus or foam from strangling her?

It was the second one she mentioned I believe. Was that the tazer one? I have thought before SL could have been tazered when she was abducted. jmo

She said January of 2011 - she then said a little over a year...
