S

The police have stated many times the B/ F has been cleared at this time. People please in cases like this one it is very easy for all of us to say look at so and so. I myself am at fault here. I myself speculated here she might have left with a friend on her own accord an not wanting to be found.
In my heart I hope this is what it is . And looking at her twitter page and the pics just might be. But my head is telling me it is not looking like that is what happened.
But if the L/E has said a person is not a suspect at this time. That is good enough for me. Till they say different,
Sorry that should have been Tumbler not Twitter . Hey I am old I have an excuse.

Apologies then....:banghead:

Can someone tell me which house is Sierra's? Is it on the right or left, if you are looking towards Monterey HWY?

I kind of took the one about someone finding you as more of a boyfriend. That seems like something I would have said when I was 15. JMO tho. Seems pretty normal for 15. But the drug use references are.... Bothersome?

Yes, the original quote on that reality show is about finding love but I can also see it in a different light. It just seems strange that going back several months, I haven't noticed any other references to wanting to get lost or be found except once in Feb and 2 times the morning she disappeared.

The rampant reblogs of images containing drug and alcohol use is very disturbing. She has dozens of images of people doing weed and cocaine and a lot of inappropriate sex acts and mostly-nude women.

From my understanding about Tumblr, even those sorts of images are very common on the pages of minors. Just checking who reblogged those pics, randomly selecting them, most of them are teens. She seemed to be a very normal teen on Tumblr in that respect.

I just thought of something. It is going to sound crazy, but please think about it amyways.

I think there is a possibility Sierra could have left voluntarily. When I was 16, I had a relationship with a MUCH older guy. I had just moved to a new school, and it was hard making friends there and I think this guy kind of zeroed in on me baceause of that. But anyways, NO ONE knew about this guy. Not my parents, siblings, not even my closest friends. I still behaved every day like I always did:went to school, hung out with my friends, etc. But about once or twice a week I would meet this guy. We never spoke on the phone, we always planned our next meeting while we were together ie. "I'll pick you up in the parking lot next Friday at 8." Hence no record that we even knew each other, and I was always careful that no one saw us togeher.

I just wonder if Sierra could have been picked up that day by someone she knew, but no one knew she was even "seeing" this person. She very well could have hid it from her friends and family. I keep coming back to her father's conviction, and who HIS friends may be. Sierra is a very pretty girl, and she had just moved, may have been having a hard time adjusting. Easy to take advantage of a young girl for a smooth talking, nice looking guy.

Now back in my day there were no cell phones, internet, etc. so it would seem hard to believe that there would be no trace of any contact with this guy. But if it was imperitive she keep it a secret, it can be done. Even a hidden pre paid cell phone used specifically for this purpose.

Now, then comes the part about the purse and the cell phone found. I feel it could be one of 2 things: Sierra and this person ditched those itmes on purpose, to throw people off the trail. I know everyone says a teenager would never part with her cell and Juicy purse, but what if she was really serious about leaving, and the guy was like "Hey, Ill buy you new stuff, even better stuff." The second explanation for the stuff being found I hate to think about BUT- it could be she went with someone voluntarily and he turned out to be a very bad guy, and HE ditched her stuff.

These are just thoughts I had. This is in no way a disparagement of Sierra, it is just something I thought of when remembering my own teenage experience. I really hope she left voluntarily and is safe and found soon. :)

It seems back in the summer she was posting a lot more about herself and less reblogs on her Tumblr. Some points I noticed as I was searching through:

 • She seems like a "typical" teen, at least one from her generation.
 • She mentions at one point breaking someone's heart so she has recently (the last several months) been involved with someone.
 • She talked about sneaking out of the house in July. To do what and with whom, she did not say.
 • The only mentions of wanting to be lost and running away happened once in Feb and 2 times on the morning she disppeared.
 • She only had about 3-4 "friends" on Tumblr who would "like" her original statuses and pictures. She would also converse with them on Tumblr.

These may or may not be clues or anything of significance but it's what sticks out to me among all the thousands of posts. I'm still looking through her blog but if I come up with more I'll let you know.

For those curious. You can find her whole entire blog from first entry to last entry here: http://cccairuh.tumblr.com/archive

Scroll over any image or post to see the date she posted it. To find her original (her own words) posts, it's usually the ones with 0-5 "notes". The difference is the posts she reblogged usually have hundreds to thousands of "notes" meaning it has been passed around from one person to another until she found it and posted it.

Her blog has a list of songs that play automatically. Just a warning to those with speakers on. You can disable it by clicking the "Pause" button on the lower left but it will turn back on when you go to another post in her blog. I just turned my computer sound to mute. HTH!

Closest I've found was Brentwood.

Then of course one in Colorado and another in Florida.

(??)
Another Bay Area person here, No they are the San Jose Sharks Ice Hockey, in the National Hockey League. Team colors are blue, black, and white. Very prominent here, and F.Y.I., I disagree with another poster who said we don't call them purses here- where I live people call purses purses and bookbags/backpacks are something totally different. What LE chooses to call things is a totally different manner.
I also feel that it's entirely possible her abductor forced her to strip, so she folded her clothes neatly and left her purse as a trail...

I don't know a lot about tumblr. My adult son has a page and I've seen his.

To my understanding tumblr is a blogging site for the most part. But not just in the traditional sense that I think of and that is a text blog.

So, my son has video that he is entertained by, pictures from around the internet. Then he will repost random images and video and stuff he sees on other peoples pages.

To me it's kind of like pinterest in a way. Except pinterest tends to be more of an arts and crafts and etc. type board.

So even though she's 15 I really didn't raise an eyebrow about what was on there except for perhaps a couple of the sex images but I had to remind myself that her generation is the internet generation. They don't know what it's like to not have internet as a part of their lives (most of them don't). Much like my generation couldn't have imagined life without or before TV. But the difference is this generation of children have been bombarded with images of sexuality and also of drug usage from music videos.

Now, in about her twitter----and the only suicide comment that I saw (which I may have missed some) I googled the first part of that tweet and it came back as some lyrics in a Drake song. So I called my Drake expert down (16 yr old daughter) and read her the lyrics and she named the song. She said the lyrics were off but to her, in her mind it was the lyrics to a Drake song.

Just some thoughts and sharing. (a lot of members here already know what tumblr is so ignore if you do).

I wouldn't discount Tumblr so easily. There are some things in there (once you wade through the sex and drug posts) that could be useful in determining both her state of mind the morning she went missing and whether she was in a relationship. It's not like Pinterest it's a blog where you share your feelings and reblog images and other people's feelings that pertain to you during that time.

I've already found a few things that stick out. She had been posting to her blog for several months but she only reblogged images pertaining to wanting to run away once in Feb and the morning of her disappearance. Could be nothing or it could be something. I wouldn't discount it completely until there is more proof that she was absolutely abducted by a stranger or someone she wasn't planning on running away with.

This case is very complex and baffling so something like Tumblr can be useful for those wanting to delve further into her life and thoughts.

Q: Since she is a minor, why wouldn't an Amber Alert be issued?

Sgt. Jose Cardoza: Uh, because we don't have anything suspicious to confirm that there was a crime. Usually an Amber Alert is um, when we have an abduction, or, you know, we can confirm that there was a crime on top of the actual missing- you know, disappearance. We don't have that at this time. So, it's-you know- we don't want to- we need more information before we can lean in that direction.

If I can I will start an investigation with all possibilities from Amber to crime, than eliminate one by one.

You get on time and more opportunity to find victim faster and alive.
I am not expert, this is only my opinion, why not.

I didn't see this mentioned above- but one of the news articles (http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504083_162-57403112-504083/calif-police-find-missing-teen-sierra-lamars-purse/) has a picture that shows two uniformed officers looking for something at the side of the road. It looks like at least in some spots the road has a deep ditch off one side plus a guardrail, so it is possible some place like this is where the purse was found. That would explain 1) why it wasn't found right away and 2) the word "secreted".

Just a thought, when I have to strip down at the doctor's office, I always fold my underclothes pretty neatly in my clothes, as in out of view because hey, they aren't that pretty. Maybe she did the same if someone made her change.

Okay, been seeing something about a tweet on Sierra's Twitter account back in Feb regarding a car that kept creeping through. Does anyone have more info on the backstory? Was she talking about her neighborhood or someplace else?

JMO-
I thought for it to be an Amber alert they needed a car make and model or description of who took the kid. Here it is from the Amber Alert website:
criteria:

There is sufficient descriptive information of child, captor, or captor's vehicle to issue an alert

I guess the wording is open to interpretation.
Here is from the California Highway Patrol site:

Law enforcement agencies ensure these conditions are met before activating an AMBER ALERT:

The investigating law enforcement agency confirms an abduction has occurred.
The victim is 17 years of age or younger, or has a proven mental or physical disability.
The victim is in imminent danger of serious injury or death.
There is information available that, if provided to the public, could assist in the child's safe recovery

You are very right, she did not meet the criteria for the Amber Alert System.

Just a thought. My stepdaughter ran away when she was barely 17. She left for school that morning and had some extra clothes in her backpack, we believe. Fortunately we found out that same evening where she was. But the extra clothes in Sierra's bag sounds very much like a planned getaway to me. I don't know too many teenage girls who carry extra clothes around.
I also don't know of any kidnapper/rapists who take the time to fold the victim's clothes neatly and place them in a bag/backpack. If they don't plan to kill the victim, then leaving the clothes behind is pretty dumb.

I agree. It seems she may have snuck out of her house before. Back in July she blogged about wanting to sneak out but she wasn't sure if she should that night. She also talks a lot about drinking and doing drugs (weed and pills) on her Twitter and Tumblr. She had to get that stuff from someone.

My thoughts are still leaning toward her planning to take either a "skip day" or to do something after school that required overnight clothes but something went horribly wrong and she was either abducted by a stranger or abducted by someone she only meant to hang out with for a few hours.

Her blog mentioned her breaking someone's heart and she also mentions having beef with a few girls from school. She even had some words regarding her "friends" on Twitter recently like there was some fighting among her group of friends that got bad.

I'm definitely getting a better idea of her mindset and personality from her blog and twitter today.
