Just did a quick check
Case Information:
Case Number: C1233134
Case Title: People vs. Antolin Garcia-Torres
Filing Date: May 24, 2012
Upcoming Court Dates at the Hall of Justice:
November 12, 2014 , 1:30 p.m., Department 24
via http://www.scscourt.org/general_info/news_media/garcia-torres.shtml

This matches the PDF Minute Order from September's appearance that had zero media coverage. Here's hoping and praying for real movement on the case. :please:

I know, it's a long shot, but I have to put it out into the universe, at least. Sierra's family celebrated her 18th birthday without her, as did her friends, and classmates. These milestones continue to pass in her absence. I believe with all of my heart and soul that the DA is preparing a case that is so strong, AGT will be fully eligible for the death penalty. :cow:

#EveryonesDaughter deserves to come home, and her family to be made whole. That :silenced: refusal to talk is a reflection of his inhumanity. I can't say what I want to - I like it here too much.

I too hope there is finally some movement in this case. Maybe someone in the area could contact local media and suggest they have someone at the hearing on the 12th? At least we might then get a little info on what is happening with all the court hearings that make the case seem to be merely inching along. I know I can be impatient to see justice but this case really is moving at a snail's pace. It sounds as if the case is strong so it's anyone's guess as to why it is not moving right along.

It's moving at a snails pace because the accused has been using every legal means to slow the trial down. I don't mind a bit. It gives LE more time to exert pressure on his mother and wife to speak up. IMO, they absolutely know what he did with our dear angel. Perhaps they are working on accessory to the crime or obstruction of justice charges? Just speculation, of course.

As long as he remains in jail... slow is okay.

hey guys I just passed by Morgan Hill today going towards Monterey and I never saw any sign of a poster or something like that for Sierra

After tweeting every NBC Bay Area affiliated news person I could find on twitter, asking them to follow up on the case.

I received a tweet from Laura Garcia Cannon (NBC morning News Anchor)

Tweet from @LauraGarciaCann

Setting trial date postponed until Feb 25, 2015

Here's another response, from Damian Trujillo, also from NBC News (he also produces and hosts Comunidad del Valle, the longest running Public Affairs show in NorCal):

Tweet from @newsdamian

you won't like it. Continued to Feb. 25 at 1:30

(Even though I knew this was going to happen!)

Thank you, WSers, for staying on top of this....

Even through the frustrating obstacles....

I wonder why they keep postponing it?
Although, it is fine... he isn't going anywhere and maybe her remains will be found.

That's right Amanda. The angels of time (and the DA) know what they are doing. I have so much faith in this outcome.

They are still waiting for justice.

The family of Morgan Hill teenager Sierra LaMar, who was kidnapped and killed two years ago, was back in court Wednesday.

A judge again postponed the case against Antolin Garcia-Torres, the only suspect in the case. He is due back in court Feb. 25.

Unfortunately, this news story doesn't give a reason for the delay. :sigh:

Perhaps more evidence has come forward, or perhaps (wisely) someone is offering some info? Let us pray so.

Good point...

This makes me wonder....,would we know if LE was to take a new direction or additional focus on searches for Sierra if they were to find out new evidence?
