You know someone also brought up the twitter post about LA between her and a friend of hers days before she disappeared. And how that friend has not twittered since that day either,
I am throwing .this out here for you all to think about. Put yourself in Sierra shoes for a minute .15 years old had a great plan to go away for a few days to LA sneak away so to speak with no one knowing. All of the sudden that Saturdayin California at least you find out everyone and their brother is looking for you.
Than all of the sudden the FBI is brought in.i know if I was 15 I would be scared to death right now. Afraid of what will happen to me if I show up. Now remember I am thinking as a 15 year old not as an adult. My great idea has gone kaboom and now I can see my way out.

Just my random thoughts and I really hope this is what is happening right now.

Every time I read a reference to LA, and the person twittered stopped twittering (word?), I keep hoping LE is looking into this.
I imagine they are...and it puts up a red flag for me!

Did her mom say she turned off Sierra's phone at 9pm, or is this an assumption? Only wondering because clearly, she did not monitor her social media as tightly as her phone use, if so...JMO

Not sure where it started, I believe Sierra made a comment about it getting shut off, and someone else checked and said there is no activity. Most carriers have services that will restrict certain hours for you.

That is where I grew up. And there is not really much to do there for teens. It is a sleepy upscale Silicon Valley burb. There is a junior college, but not much else that a 15 yr old would do there, imo.

Ok that makes sense. That seems like something she'd be into, and the friend she tweeted about going with had also tweeted a picture of some sweatshirts she wanted and they look like something you could buy there: they were kind of tie dyed and I found a picture of tie dyed shirts with the caption "Only available at the Odd Furure store".

I don't think she was trying to disappear per se. I am leaning towards her having met someone online (she has a rather large following on twitter, don't know what her count was on FB, but I'm gonna guess large). I think she was desperate to fit in and be cool and look tough and edgy and someone played to that. I think this person or people said they were going to take her to LA possibly or maybe just out and went to pick her up. Perhaps she climbed in the car to discover he was nothing like the pix he had sent and things went bad very very quickly when she tried to get out.

I thought about that too, but I have never heard of anyone refer to Los Altos as LA. LA is Los Angeles (and for most of us up here that encompasses pretty much all of Southern California, lol).

Anyone else notice via twitter how excited she was about her English essay on teen depression? In fact I remember someone even quoting her dad say she was very excited about it. She tweeted it several times, even asking herself why she was so excited. Just think its kinda strange.

That is the big huge rave that USED to be held here in LA. Electric Daisy Carnival is what it means , I think.

A 15 yr old DIED at the last one because she drank a lot of water from her friends water bottle, not knowing it was full of liquid E. So there are no more of those EDC' held in LA. I think they are held in Vegas area now.

I only know of two things that EDC goes too, and I'm thinking she was talking the Electric Daisy Carnival, fits with everything else she likes. It's now in Vegas, though there are smaller satellite ones elsewhere.
