Okay, Wonderful WebSleuthers!
I have been trying to find the link(s) regarding Sierra's Cheerleading Squad that she is involved in. IIRC..Sierra is the "flier"...or the person on top of the pyramids, etc.
But..I have looked all through thread #1...and couldn't find anything. And I know I could have missed it...but my heads about to explode, so I can go no mo' tonight.
Does anyone remember where that info. is?
Thank you ever so much!

P.S. I do remember she was a cheerleader at Fremont's Washington High School, though.

LaMar’s friends and teammates from the San Jose-based Black Diamond Elite all-star cheer team described the teen as an energetic and athletic cheerleader.

V****** Yanez of Gilroy High School, K*** Redmond of Santa Teresa High School and M***** Ross of Oak Grove High School have cheered with LaMar since September. They attended the Tuesday night vigil wearing T-shirts with pictures of LaMar printed on the front with “MISSING” in bold lettering.

LaMar joined the team in September and was connected to the squad by a friend of hers just before she moved to Morgan Hill. A cheerleader at Washington High School before transferring to Sobrato, she is a “flier,” or the teammate at the top of a stunt who is lifted or thrown in the air, on the Black Diamond team, the teens said.

If you could re-post, I'd be much obliged as every time I think I've found
a link, it turns out to be a confabulation on the search results page!

NorCal seems to be the closests but even then, I can't find how it links to Black Diamond Elite.

Darn.

From askfornina's great updates posted above. Thank you :)

Reporter: Sheriff Smith, last night you brought in, the FBI brought in actually search dogs and equipment into the house where Sierra lived. Why did that happen? Do you know what they were looking for?

Smith: What we know is Sierra probably didn't leave the court. No one sees her that morning. We did actually consensual searches on all the houses in the cul-de-sac. We wanted to rule out that any of the people here had anything to do with her disappearance.

When was the last time anyone saw Sierra? Does this mean the dogs didn't pick up her scent anywhere near her home?

I understand the dad is not a suspect nor is the mom's boyfriend (?). I still, however, wonder if he had any RSO friends or acquaintaces? Were all 267 RSO checked out?

Also, could this have been revenge from a parent of one of the girls he molested?

Random thoughts.

I would think if anyone was seeking revenge they would go after the father not his daughter.

As for so's there are way to many of them out there but they are not always responsible for every crime thats committed.

I have a problem with the bag and the phone being tossed its almost like
it was left on purpose a diversion.

I would think that if a guy abucts a girl he wouldnt leave thing tossed about
and her things would be found where he leaves her. Why leave a trail makes no sense to me just like Holly bobo cASE.....THINGS WERE LEFT ON PURPOSE AS I SEE IT,

Has LE questioned these twitter friends?
I think the twitterers know more than parents what their childs plans were.

Has anyone heard any reports of searches along McKean/Uvas west of Morgan Hill? I've lived in the bay area my entire life and I'm pretty familiar with this area in particular because I've ridden my motorcycle through here on numerous occassions. Even on the weekend there isn't much going on through here which is why I usually choose this area. On a weekday morning, I'd have to think it would be deserted. If you do a drive by with google maps, you can see any side street in this area would provide plenty of cover, privacy and time for the perp to harm someone or possibly dump a body (as much as I hate to think that). When I first heard of Sierra's disappearance my first thought was I hope they are searching here. It's only minutes from her house if you go up Santa Teresa, make a left on Bailey and then another left on McKean towards Uvas.

She didnt do that on her own!

I saw this before. That's why I went looking for links to this team.
It should have a website maybe?
It should have events.
It should list team members.
Was it affiliated with the one in Brentwood, Cali?

When I found a link, that (keeps freezing right now), to a team in Gilroy,
I confess to be curious how she was a team member since September,
when she didn't move to the area until October.

I was looking for like news clips from the local Gilroy paper to the team.
I only found the one link where they competed???

I guess more than anything though this morning, I keep resonating on the Today show clip where they were talking about 2,000 teens reported missing
every day in this country. I couldn't help but wonder how shows like Today determine which ones to do focus stories on.
Which ones get national media attention and which ones languish on home town press maybe, and you never hear about?
Who determines this and based on what criteria?

I thought maybe her cheer team was a big deal and that's why it got chosen.
But, apparently, not?
Not much news on the team at all in the past.

I think her sister has said something to that effect.
I'm not sure about the mom.

The father has been upfront about his record. The police have ruled out both parents and the mom's bf. No facts point to family involvement. Unless new information comes to light, sleuthing either parent or the bf is off limits. This includes idle speculation. Please stay on track. Thanks.

ETA: The thread is veering off topic, and OT posts can be removed. The discussion is about the disappearance of Sierra Lamar, not our personal views on child rearing.

Just a fyi

That's an interesting way to put it.
"Connected to the squad".
Wonder who she replaced as the "flier"?

Is this just something you join, or need to tryout for?
Is it like joining a gymnastics or dance school, or what?
Paid tuitions?
Local cheerleader from area high schools do this in addition to their school team squads?
Did the Morgan Hill Times go down to the cheer school or gym or whatever it is and interview these girls to get the quotes?

Rather than have some girls come forward from the team for this article, isn't this something the instructors and team organizers would be formally commenting on to the news?
