Sieraa supposedly disappeared around the time that she left to catch the bus - shortly after 7:15 a.m. I don't think anyone would be coming home for lunch that early.

I think the point was if the perp just left the bag and phone in the driveway and a family member came home early and found Sierra's things the search would have started a lot earlier.

On the other hand, if a "perp" had taken them to the other side of Gilroy or
smack dab in the middle of downtown San Jose, we wouldn't be talking about this stuff, at all.

The point to me is, WHOEVER, wanted them found, that's why they are so close to home.
Just not right away.

Question :

Are there any statements in the MSM from Sierra's mother's live-in boyfriend ?

Sierra is a missing teenager, who is a cheerleader ... her mother has a live-in BF ...

WHY is this case reminding me of Hailey Dunn -- who was a cheerleader when she went missing, and whose mother has a live-in BF ?

:banghead:

:moo::moo::moo:

She was a cheerleader at her old high school in Fremont not at her new high school in Morgan Hill.

And yet, by merely turning to the left at Palm Ave., they could have been on the Monterrey Hwy and GONE completely from the area!

But, we find things right there in her neighborhood instead.
This is the strongest indication of non-stranger involvement, and staging
of the items found.

I agree about it probably not being a stranger. And based on my coarse of events and the trail of evidence, I think when they were heading in the wrong direction, Sierra decided to try to use the phone and thats when it was thrown from the car.

I still dont see the phone and purse being staged. Its possible, but not very likely.

Another thought about the clothing... I know that when I was in school a lot of girls would wear one thing from home and change into other clothes once they got to school (maybe something their parents wouldn't approve of). I'm not sure if that is an option nowadays because I know the dress codes around here have gotten much more strict.

I've caught girls doing this (friends of my daughter's, changing at my house). But in this case, no one was there to see her leave or, presumably, to return. So I'm not sure what the motivation would be, unless she was going somewhere else after school that required her to change. ???

According to her friends she is currently on an All Star team.

If they found them, they were MEANT to be found.
She lives in the middle of a huge area, lots of hwys leading all around.
They could have easily been thrown away and NEVER been found.

That's just how I see it.

According to her friends she is currently on an All Star team.

There was a post last night here, about her Twitter, where she said back in February that she doesn't cheer anymore.

If that was something that just happened, or she was letting them in on "old news" is not clear.

I agree. That's why I was asking the question about the phone pings. It would make sense that if the phone was there all the time then that's why they have been concentrating their search - investigation within the 2 mile radius. They have searched here TWICE.

I actually disagree. If the phone was on the ground in that same location from around 7:30 until it was found, then there should be no reason to focus in on the area around the house more.

This would support that she was alive and traveling away from the home.

Now if the phone was in a different spot at different times until its discover, then that would be a reason to think something more happened near the home.

Based on the evidence we have, for all we know, she made it to the bus stop, and then was offered a ride. As they were driving away someone threw her phone out the window.

If this were the case, there would be no crime scene or anything useful in the proximity around the house.

So I think there still must be other evidence leading them to believe that there is something near the house.

This brings up a big question for me. This is still considred a "missing person's" case. They have evidence from her purse which could indicate that she was possibly removed from her clothing and all he possessions, and they've been searching around her house a lot. Is it normal to keep it as a "missing person" when there is a lot of evidence to suggest abduction?

The bus driver made a comment "in the 6 weeks I have known her"
Is this bus driver new?
Had Sierra not started riding the bus in Oct?
Has anyone heard?
I am a little confused about this statement.

Find Sierra facebook

"Kim Shepard Kirkpatrick I have only known Sierra for about 6 weeks. As her morning and afternoon school bus driver, I liked Sierra the 1st day I met her."

After thinking more about it, I think maybe she had changed into a different outfit (maybe one that didn't require panties or bra) and intended to change before coming home. That purse isn't really very big. If she folded the clothes up and zipped the bag, I don't think they'd unfold if it was tossed. How far from the intersection was it found? Could the car have been stopped at a red light?

I'd still like to know if books were found too or any personal items.

This is what I think, as well (and hope, actually). But I don't find it that strange that she packed another set of panties and bra. She may have just wanted fresh panties with fresh clothes. And in terms of bras ... some are designed for t-shirts/sweatshirts and jeans, while some are more feminine or even push-up, even for Sierra's age. She sounds interested in fashion, so details like that probably matter to her.

Not all kidnappers are criminal masterminds. If someone high on drugs took her, they wouldn't be thinking too far in advance...just get rid of the stuff. JMO

Do we know if there were any rumors or anything about her at school? I think most of us somewhat agree that there were probably some jealous girls, maybe once the Queen Bees of the school who were feeling threatned. Many times these girls will make up rumors to try to make the newbie feel miserable.

Just wondering how her new school mates were taking this.

I wonder if they have checked into who was late to school that day, or who also was absent from school. Any adults call in sick, or arrive late? Teachers, office personel or staff? I think it pretty much seems that if she was really taken in the morning without expecting to go...... someobody that knew her was waiting.

But, if someone on drugs took her, they would have rummaged through her purse looking for money or other valuables. They also probably would've recognized that her purse and phone were valuable and held onto them to sell/trade for drugs.

Even the most strung out crackhead would do this.

As was the case with Sherry Arnold. She lost her shoe in the struggle. They didn't care, they just wanted to get the heck out of dodge - quickly.

I can't discount her saying she and another person on Twitter have "PLANS" (her words),
to go to LA to OF.
Posted two days before she "disapppeared".
Then, another Twitter 'friend' of hers shows up commenting on the story of OF's Grand Opening in LA. The story was from back in November. The comment just a couple days ago. Coincidence?

The comment itself seemed "stagey".

and the tweet at 5:32 pm 3/15/12
about how you made me "feel" when I'm done with you
you'll feel the same (paraphrased)

IOW You'll be sorry when I'm gone.
15 hours later she WAS!
coincidence?

It's not a criminal offense to "go missing".
I have seen nothing so far in this case to indicate a crime
has been commited, yet.
Have you?

Actually, for a minor, it is a criminal offense to run away in many states. And it is also a criminal offense for anyone 18+ to help them in anyway (i.e. giving them a ride anywhere, letting a minor stay with them, etc.)

Plus, this case is not a run away. She is 15 and has been gone for 11 days. No one has said if she had money, but at 15, I doubt she had much cash.

The chances of her still being alive are slim to none.

I don't get it. The police said the bag with the clothes was 'secreted away' then they say it was by the side of the road and was possibly tossed from a car. Which is it? Two totally different scenarios are implied.

The word secreted I think was a bad choice and LE has not used it any more. IMO LE meant hidden whether it was tossed or placed in the weeds how are we to know. Sarx earlier posted that she/he tossed a bag and it landed in the weeds and was not able to be seen. I know when LE first gave the presser they said the clothes were freshly laundered but IMO when LE used the word "secreted" this lead the press to ask about urine on the clothes as if the word secreted was to mean secreted body fluids. Yes LE did say "no comment" to urine on the clothes so I do not not know. IMO the clothes were freshly laundered placed in the bag with her books for the day by Sierra. If Sierra was going to her Dad's house after school than it makes sense for her to maybe bring some of her favorite clothes, bra and panties. She probably had some clothes at her Dads too since she went there often probably like lounge wear and pajamas. Her Dad was taking her to get her hair done that Saturday supposedly and Marc Klass said Friday night, either way I think she was ready to go to her Dad's house. No make up I don't know but we do not know what she kept at her Dad's place.
