I think some girls are born fashion plates. My daughter had definite fashion preferences as early as age 2.

I think it would also be difficult to determine if there were missing clothes considering that she also visited her father. When my kids would go see their father, sometimes they'd come home with the clothes they took and

sometimes they wouldn't. Some clothes I'd never see again.

I 100% agree, my DD goes shopping with friends, she will show me what she got but I wouldn't remember. There are times when I'm folding and ask her "who does this belong too?" It's hers. haha. She has so many clothes/shoes/purses, I wouldn't know what was missing, I would know her purses/shoes but not her clothes unless I bought them with her. IMO

When I met my ex, he folded jeans the way his mom had. They all had creases down the fronts of the legs, because she lined up the side seams and draped them over a hangar. I lay jeans out flat, fold one side over the other, and then fold in thirds, whith the pants leg hem folded up inside and the back pocket visible so I can see what is what.

I always folded T-Shirts like my mother did. I laid them flat, face down, folded them in half lengthwise, then in half top to bottom. My ex taught me to fold like they do in retail shops, so you don't have a crease down the front of your shirt, and can see the entire design in the drawer.

Just an example. Different people fold things differently.

I'll say! My idea of proper packing is to randomly fold until it looks more or less like a square. I rarely get a lot of practice though -- for some reason my wife won't let me help. :waitasec:

I am confused about the clothes in the bag. Some say the clothes in the bag were worn by Sierra that fateful morning. Others say the clothes were freshly laundered. Can anyone straighten this out?...it is very significant.

A couple points of importance that I need clarified for anyone that can help..please do..the cell phone was located the following day? Is that correct? And the bag was located the day AFTER the cell phone was located? Is that correct? And yes I realize that we were not told of the bag until even several more days after it was located for confirmation purposes so say LE..

I would like to know how much ground was covered on the day the phone was located? Just as Sarx pointed out that area beside the bridge that is photographed and labeled as the spot the bag was located IS NOT THE EXACT SPOT OF WHERE THE BAG WAS FOUND.. And IMO that picture is very misleading and IMO adding to what is having some believe it was purposefully hidden.. THAT IS NOT THE EXACT LOCATION THAT THE JUICY BAG WAS FOUND..

so does anyone know what areas were searched that Saturday the cell was found? The area where the bag was at was mere 2blocks away from the phone is it possible those 2blocks were even given a cursory search that same day the cell was found? For me that's of huge importance because I find It within the realm of possibilities THAT THE JUICY BAG WAS NOT IN THIS LOCATION INITIALLY as in possibly as late as when the cell was discovered I believe it possible that the bag AT THAT TIME WAS NOT TOSSED OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD 2BLOCKS FROM THE CELL.. was that Laguna/Santa Teresa Blvd intersection area searched in any way at all Friday or Saturday when the cell was found?

Just thoughts here but I am not convinced that bag went out at/near the same time as the cell did(Friday morning with Sierra likely in tow in the vehicle) .. yes.. I believe that cell was chucked out the first chance they had..meaning as soon as they could be it away from Sierra and/or not have a vehicle or persons in sight when throwing it out) .. I believe the sole purpose was to stop the trail cold right there!!
IMO there is nothing that is urgent or immediate with the bag(that we know of) and I have serious doubts that it was chunked out the window less than 60seconds later after the cell(and yes we're talking less than 60seconds between where the phone was found to where the bag was found). I'm not convinced the bag was there initially.

Is HLN ever going to talk about this case. Does every single host on the show talk about the same subject?

I suggest some network make a 24 hr day of missing babies, children, adults...it is needed. Every darn time I turn around, another precious life is missing from where they should be, FGS!

I know I don't post much but I live in the area and have been following this case because my friend's daughter goes to Sobrato High (and, well, I do always tend to follow these cases!).

Sierra LaMar likely taken, didn't run away, investigators reveal

Thanks for posting!

From your article:

Investigators pleaded with anyone to call in any suspicious activity. On Tuesday, they broadened their definition of "suspicious" to "someone who suddenly changes their appearance, recently cleaned their vehicle in an excessive manner, has unexpectedly missed work days, and/or obsesses or avoids media reports about the case."

Also with there being multiplelocations within that 2mile radius that used/kept /stored expensive equipment, tools and such for those sod farms, businesses, and storage facilities I find it extremely difficult to believe not a one of them has surveillance cams..I took a guided tour with Mr. Yellow man Google street view and I analyzed that entire area of homes and businesses carefully looking for outdoor surveillance came(there is but one street that I have not yet searched but will do so this evening) and in all I've searched I've not yet seen any.. I have seen the security signs at a few of the locations and a couple homes but no signs of cameras.. I find this odd.. rural or not criminal behavior extends throughout it all so very odd I'm seeing no outdoor security cameras...jmo

Phone found on Sat.
Bag found on Sun but we didn't hear about it until Thurs.
Phone and Bag were about 2 miles apart.
LE "believes" that the shirt in the bag is the same one in the photo she took that morning. No one saw her leave that morning since Mom and her b/f had already left for work.

I am confused about the clothes in the bag. Some say the clothes in the bag were worn by Sierra that fateful morning. Others say the clothes were freshly laundered. Can anyone straighten this out?...it is very significant.

I havent heard LE say they were freshly laundered. If she just put them on that morning I am sure they were all clean though. Imo, she did not have a chance to wear them for very long.

This is just my opinion.

I think the perp kidnapped her at the end of the driveway as she was going out to catch the bus. I also think they had been watching her before they kidnapped her.

I also have been thinking about the phone being found on one side of the road and the purse with the clothing and books inside being found on the other side of the road if I have that part correct.

They would immediately throw the phone out so she could not use it. I then think they took her to a remote area and made her strip by taking all of her clothes off including her bra and panties. Sadly, I think they most likely raped and murdered her there and hid her body either in a shallow grave or a pond. Once they came out of the area and onto the road again they turned in the opposite direction and threw all of her possessions away (books and clothing in purse.)

I also think that the perp or perps have left the area and did so soon after the crime.

IMO

I cannot find anywhere where the term "freshly laundered" was used. No video and not online print article. So.............

IF you find anything interesting, go here Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community
to the Search for Sierra forum. They are making maps, etc.

Possible of course, but I hope not.
