At my kids high school the girls usually used 'book bags' and not back packs.

OMG! We are back on the highway to the 1950's...Are they leather? LOL

:woohoo:

I suppose if a girl was involved, she took what she wanted from Sierra's bag before tossing it...just a thought.

If a young girl was involved, she would have kept the Bag too...lol

I wonder if she started to pack that bag for an overnight visit to her bio dad/sister the next day.

Maybe, unless she went to the same school and knew it would be posted as missing soon.

Possibly in the thoughts of the perp who discarded the bag is that it would more likely be intact in the wedge between the bldg. & cactus and the contents would be preserved looking exactly as he or she intended them to appear.

possible.. Maybe the clothes were left because the girl or woman was larger than Sierra...

Maybe there never was any makeup? I know I never carried anything like that what I was young-n-hawt.. Lol...

She talks about make-up on her twitter, she obviously uses it, I can't imagine not having a lip gloss, a mirror, a brush, at the very least...JMO

BBM.. Very interesting thought!

IMO: If she did not pack her bag, it is my opinion that a male that didn't know much about teenage girls packed it...

From the quote you were quoting on, we don't have any confirmation that keys, wallet and other things were or were not in the bag. This is one of those statements that kind of ran away.

If this is the purse that she always carried then wouldn't her normal stuff already be in it other than the change of cloths?

ok. So IF those were the clothes that Sierra was wearing, the only thing in that bag would have been her school books...
Hummm..
Another thought..
sierra jumped into vehicle with someone that cared for her... A female... Who had other plans... The female then chucks heed phone..takes her somewhere..murders her...and the because she cares for Sierra, the clothes that Sierra was wearing were folded neatly and placed into the bag with the books that were originally in the bag, placed along beside the bag....maybe so the female perp could go back to the clothes and smell them...
Humm....

Actually, YES, some are. LOL My DD had a fave book bag which had a shoulder strap, worn on one side, and it was embossed leather, bought at a western type shop.

I found this crime map, hopefully this will post right.

Not saying any of this relates to the case, but it gives a glance over the neighborhood Sierra disappeared from over the course of the month..

Sometimes it just seems too much of a coincidence that the two things she was probably carrying were found...JMO

Thank you JDB. From your link. Just posted to state that underwear was confirmed.

.."Cardoza said a pair of pants, a shirt, a bra and a pair of underwear were neatly folded inside a Juicy brand purse". It was not clear if they were the clothes Sierra put on the morning she was last seen or if they were something she brought along with her. He said they contained no forensic evidence that pointed to a crime or a person of interest in the case. They said they did not release the information earlier because they were waiting on forensic evidence analysis.

IMO IF THE PERSON WHO PACKED THE BAG, HID THE BAG, ETC WAS SOMEONE WHOSE FINGERPRINTS AND TRACE DNA(HAIR FOR INSTANCE), AND TOUCH DNA HAD EVERY RIGHT TO BE THERE(as in someone who lived in the home) those results would be of no significance to solving the case..
