<<he was last seen in Santa Cruz, California in August of 1975, and "had contact with police as he attempted to re-enter the United States from Canada". I found a few things that helps pull the circumstances together. On April 6, 1975, he was arrested at the Toronto Airport with 40 pounds of hash. Whether he was leaving Canada with the drugs, or coming into the country with it, but also busted with him were Lynne Elizabeth Cassidy, Richard Douglas Green, both of Canada, and a 28 year old woman Chicago resident, Joanne Kristine Groff>>

<<Stephen was actually from Rhode Island, and had attended North Providence High School. On April 18, all four were released on bond, which is probably where his encounter with police was, attempting to re enter the US>>
