On the facebook page for Susan, I have not read any attacking statements towards the family. IMOO.

Thanks. I'm glad that hasn't happened in this case.

If Susan used a credit or debit card for any such daily outings, then I am sure that her husband or LE would have been able to determine how she may have spent time during the days her husband was at work.

Of course, there are plenty of options that do not involve spending $$. Perhaps reading a book on a bench at the local park. Going to a local duck pond. Reading at the library. Are there museums locally that would be enjoyable to spend time at? Susan could have come into contact or have been seen by any number of people with bad motives-- routinely, or just once.

I don't think it would be hard to follow or "tail" an unassuming 59 y/o woman to find out where she lives. Not that I am saying that someone was stalking her and waiting for an opportunity. It's a possibility, of course.

I just realized I don't pay enough attention while driving and would not realize if someone were to follow me for any length of time while out on errands or driving home. :banghead: Note to self: start taking notice!

BBM my Mom instilled this into me, to the point that I'm probably crazy if I even THINK someone is following me. I'll drive to a police station/highway patrol office but never to my house. Probably a good habit overall, in spite of it seeming a little nuts at times lol.

In terms of Susan's outings, there are plenty of things she could do for free or very little $$ in this area, IMO. Especially that time of year there are concerts, movies, etc. Lots of nice parks as well. Seems pretty unusual no one knows what she did during that time IMO, but maybe we just haven't heard from the person who knows.

I know nothing unexpected was reported on her ATM charges, but what if getting fuel frequently is expected? Gah.. I know.. longshot, I'm just trying to think of anything.

I have a friend who is a little bit younger than Susan who does product packaging design and he does it all by hand, no computers. He does scan his drawings and sends those to clients but he doesn't use any kind of computer design programs. He uses paper. MOO.

Must say, admire him for that! I wonder if Susan's similar.

She may not be reclusive at all. and probably has no anxiety disorders at all.
not everyone hangs out with neighbors
goes out to lunches with the girls

many of us choose to go shopping alone
hang out at home work in the yard putter around the house
We might have this picture all wrong.

the only part I find very odd is no cell phone and computer.

Ya know that one pic of her in the white shirt her arm is raised up and I swear she has to be holding a cell phone to take the pic right ? I think she took that pic herself and in a mirror.

Who knows. I think she had a cell phone JMO

Great point, Eileen!

I was confused about that picture of Susan...

I couldn't figure out who took it... Where it was taken... And the "position" of Susan was puzzling, as well..

It very well could be a "selfie"....

If Susan knew how to take a picture of herself from her phone... I imagine there are more pics on her phone...

JMO

More thoughts... I wonder why THAT picture was the primary photo released for Missing Person information...

Don't they often use DL pictures, too?

Random thoughts...

That photo does look like she took a photo of herself using a cellphone.
But, I have to say I don't think it is odd that she did not have a cellphone, as they have a landline. To me, if she doesn't have a lot of family or friends and stays home as she is retired, she might feel she doesn't need one, as the landline is where she can be contacted.
On the other hand, as mobile as Susan was, driving Every Day running errands, a cell phone would come in handy in case of an emergency, like a flat on her car, car accident, she's running late from errands, etc...
Maybe living where she lived she didn't think she would need a cell phone.(city not rural). Maybe her car has GPS engaged so if there was an emergency with the vehicle, they would be contacted. If she has a service like that, she can also buy minutes and have her car be the telephone, like what On Star Offers, so she can talk to people from her car by pushing a button, as long as she has paid for the minutes and hasn't used up all her minutes.

and... Good point about Susan having minimal social anxiety...

(IMO) but... People taking "selfies" means they are sending them out to others... So Susan may not be as reclusive as I thought...

Another random thought...

It has been noted that Susan wears scarves around her neck in most (all?) pictures...

could she be concealing a scar... Like from a tracheotomy... Or from some other injury to her neck?

:dunno:

I just got around to reading the links to information kindly provided by a poster through a poster up thread...

There is a statement that Susan "does not CARRY a cell phone"...

But even though she does not carry a cell phone... She may still own one...

I have a cell phone... But rarely "carry" it with me...

O/T... I am trying to get more in the habit of carrying it... Since my DH, DD, and a few other family members and friends have given me a little heck about it... Siting the obvious... It is needed in emergencies... And just for making contact more easily...

Back to the "possible" "selfie" of Susan...

if that picture wasn't taken on her own phone camera/than whose camera was it taken on?

and why?

Do people usually take selfies on other people's cell phone/cameras?

Yes and who did she send that pic to. That's another thought she looks very nice in that pic.

Some type of graphic design IIRC.

I checked for Susan as graphic designer on LinkedIn... In Nevada, as well...

No luck... Yet...

I have not seen it in print, so maybe the family mentioned it on an interview. I know that a poster mentioned previously about graphic design, but is that technically a rumor then.
I personally have not found a link, unless I overlooked it, or missed it in an interview I saw.
So, would that be considered a rumor, because there is no link?

Unless her husband has a Work cell phone, which his work would pay for,
so Susan would not necessarily have a cell phone if this is the case.

Why would she take a selfie on someone else's phone?

why wouldn't the owner of the phone take a picture of her?

I know there a re a gazillion reasons.. Like "just for fun"... Etc...

but logically... Is doesn't make much sense (IMO)

Right, and for Susan not to like to have her photo taken, she definitely looks like she didn't mind this photo being taken.

In the photo that has been of discussion this morning of Susan in the thread there is what looks to be a dachshund in the background on the top left hand side.
I saw that when I went to the NamUs site for Susan's missing person's profile, and on my computer I can hit View then hit Zoom in.
I will post the link to the photo from NamUs,
in addition to the link from NamUs of Susan's total profile.
Also, when you are on her profile you can click Images, then click on her photo to get an even larger photo, then you can use your computer under view/Zoom in......

If this dachshund is Susan's dog, when did she have this dog?
Was she at someone else's house?
Kjac22 said that Susan has a similar dog to the ones in the photos of Susan with a dog, but that was his dog, which is a medium to large dog, not a dachshund.........
