This woman went missing in her car, like the others, except for Susan. Wonder if any of the others, or their cars have been found-I think there were two other women?

The Grass Valley woman was found deceased. Her vehicle stuck on a downed log and she kept a journal. http://blogs.sacbee.com/crime/archi...n-kept-diary-of-days-leading-up-to-death.html

The ladies from Roseville, their ages and proximity to each other, are very interesting. I was just in Roseville yesterday and I can tell you they lived maybe 10 minutes a part in afternoon traffic. Have to find the common denominator with these two.

A. Raley's where Jacobson's car found
C. Home of Cynthia
E. Home of Susan

Great map, thank you! Having been there I agree, 10 minutes apart at most including traffic.

I also agree, I'd love to find the common denominator.. something just seems so strange here. It's not a high crime location. I mean it's not a zero crime location, but I'd say I feel even safer there than in my own neighborhood which is nearby and also not high in crime rates. Not to sound age-ist, but I also find it odd that they're both older women, meaning, not teenagers.

Jumping off, I just wanted to reiterate for those who might've not seen earlier posts, Roseville isn't a "small town" by any means, but it also isn't huge. It's a suburb of Sacramento, the state capitol. There is a large railyard that freaks me out some, but overall, from my perspective as a Sacramento area local, Roseville's a pretty safe area.

IMO... But one common denominator that sticks out to me on the missing "more mature" women cases I have been following..

there seems to often be an underlying despondency/anxiety/etc.. That accompanies most of these cases...

Read through all of the first thread.

I truly believe Susan was abducted by a stranger. It's a scary world out there. No one is safe. Age, race, gender... none of matters. There's a predatory just waiting for their moment.

As for something happening in a public place and no one noticing...surprising how often that happens. So many going on about their life, and not noticing anything around them. Most people I see are in a rush to get this place, or do that, that they aren't aware of surroundings, or anything else. Life needs a slower pace.

I agree, or even if aware of surroundings you might just assume some sort of argument's going on - not an abduction. I saw what looked like a pretty nasty fight in a grocery store parking lot the other day and I didn't know what to do. No one looked like they were in trouble, but everyone was kind of scuffling around and yelling. Most people leaving the store basically just walked by and intentionally ignored the whole thing. I didn't know what to do either but fortunately a Sheriff arrived right around the same time I was contemplating what to do. They have a community service office/center right in the same strip mall.

Point being... maybe someone DID see something but didn't know what they were seeing, or didn't know what to do about it. If so I hope they've come forward to LE.

I also find myself wondering why abduction. Assuming this is a crime and not voluntary, typically the person wants money, right? Someone wanting money is wayyy different IMO than someone wanting a person... very different motivation. Someone wanting money probably doesn't want to deal with a person or getting rid of a person. (yuck that hurt to type). Of course there's also the someone wanting to get rid of a person scenario, too, but I have a hard time understanding why that would be in Susan's case.

Sorry, I know not much info, I'm thinking out loud I guess.

Oh no. :( The other "more mature" missing woman in Roseville has been found. RIP Cynthia.

http://roseville-ca.patch.com/group...ing-roseville-woman-found-deceased-in-rocklin

My heart started pounding the instant I saw the Facebook update "Sad news. The Roseville woman who went missing has been found in Rocklin, deceased."

Man do I hope we get a better outcome in Susan's case... I know it's been so long now... but I keep hoping.

I don't think the perp was looking for money. Sexual predatory.

Seeing in print that Susan could have been abducted really bothers me. If that occurred, why didn't LE do an all-out investigation? To my knowledge, Susan's disappearance seems to be an isolated incident. Would that mean she was targeted? The scene of her disappearance sounds staged, IMHO. If Susan was suicidal, she more than likely would have been found by now, and why not drive her car to wherever she planned to exit from life? And how about the family? And other locals to the area who should then be concerned about a predator on the loose? How and why would Susan vanish into thin air during a weekday in the early morning? It all sounds implausible to me. Most disturbing is the silence of her immediate family. It is as if she never existed.

Thanks both for caring and for making this so clear. I should've made it more obvious in my post about Cynthia. I was coming back to edit and saw you'd already clarified. Thank you.

BBM from what I've seen it seems they did, and then kind of gave up when they didn't find anything. It scares the heck out of me to think a woman could go missing here and receive so little attention, especially when I've seen the opposite in other cases.

I have no idea what to think at this point, but I so hope she's "missing" by choice.

It makes sense to me.Since the store opens at either 5:00 or 6:00 am,and the Raleys sales start on Wednesdays (the morning she disappeared) ,she was probably trying to take advantage of a great sale.Smart couponers know that when theres a hot deal you gotta jump on it as soon as the store opens because stuff will go fast. At 6:00 in the morning it is still somewhat dark still, and probably not many people out yet which made her an easy target.

BBM. That got me to looking at sunrise times for the 4th of May: 6:05am (at least for Sacramento--which I think is close to Roseville). Last reported sighting was at 6am, at her home, by her husband.

Today's official sunrise for me was about 20 minutes after I left my house; when I left, it was pretty dusky, but not dark, and it only got lighter as I walked. I'd wager by the time she got to the store, it probably wasn't all that dark anymore. :twocents:

Prayers for Susan, wherever she may be.

I hate to say it but, frankly I am surprised some outdoors person hasn't stumbled across ...her. SW to NE of Roseville, say <15 miles out.

Still praying that Susan is found.

BBM

We don't know if Susan was taking prescription medication for depression or anxiety, so this may not be relevant. But I wonder if the common denominator in some of these other missing women could be going off of such drugs without medical supervision, which can lead to suicidal thoughts and actions. Perhaps if one's health insurance ran out and they had to quit taking their meds suddenly, it would throw them into that sort of scenario.

So sad, I feel so badly for this woman and her family. I just can't envision Susan deliberately walking away with her first grandbaby on the way.
