Something shady is going on IYAM!

I would not stop looking either. I have thought from day one that Susan's disappearance was staged. I just couldn't decide by whom. I can't get a feel for this and have waffled back and forth. But I DO think some things are not being told.

In this article from July 14, 2013
The writer states about Susan's husband:

"However, Chris says he won’t give up looking for his wife. He’s hired a private investigator. He wouldn’t elaborate but does believe his wife was kidnapped."

http://sacramento.cbslocal.com/2013/07/14/police-scale-back-search-for-missing-roseville-woman/

So, Susan's husband believes his wife was kidnapped, but yet I haven't seen ONE PLEA, NOT ONE PLEA TO THE PERP TO LET HER GO. No plea that I love my wife and please let her come home to me, my son and family. NOTHING to the perp.

In the article it does mention that Susan's husband states that the police have no leads towards him or anyone else. But, regardless, it is odd that if he really believes she was kidnapped, why not ask the kidnapper to let her go???
Why not say I LOVE MY WIFE SHE MEANS EVERYTHING TO ME??
Instead, he keeps himself busy, and hopes something turns up, the article states.

"I just try and keep myself busy, and try and keep moving forward and hope something turns up.”" (Quote from article from link above....)

Keep moving forward? Like not looking back?
Hope something turns up?

Hopefully the "SOMETHING" is his wife!!
I don't understand this case at all.

Where are you SUSAN?

IMOO.

At some point, people do have to try to move on and live their lives, especially when they have a child. But it seems awfully soon to just stop mentioning her. I try very hard to not be critical of families when they have a loved one missing. I can only hope that some event, like a holiday or birthday, will bring Susan's name back to light.

Oh I know, and good points. I just can't imagine going "oh well, she's gone..." so soon. I don't mean to be critical of the family at all, just saying how I'd probably react is very different. But like I mentioned before I still cry about my dog 2 years after she died, so maybe I'm just not very good at the whole moving on thing.

Great thought about holidays, birthdays etc. being a good opportunity to bring Susan up again. I wonder when her birthday is? Especially if it's before the holiday madness hits, that might be a perfect time to re-approach the media.

BBM I can't help hoping if it's staged, it was by Susan herself.

Good find, thanks! I sure hope the family takes the opportunity to circulate her name in the media again. Her birthday... new grandchild she's never met... holidays coming up (Baby's first Christmas!). I can see them being able to make it a good story (much's I hate to think of it that way, but I know they don't run things unless there's a good story)

That would be the Best case scenario that Susan staged it.

Yeah that's for sure. It seems very unlikely to me, but we can hope.

Still nothing new? Where are you, Susan? Come talk to us if you can. Real life would be the best, but dreams are just fine too. :)

Still no updates on Susan's facebook. Where is Susan?

My Mom died almost three years ago at 90, and I think of her every day and miss her dearly. I would never rest if she had vanished into thin air under suspicious circumstances.

We can only pray and hope that Susan moved on under her own volition and for her own reasons. Otherwise, I can't fathom that LE and family could just go forward accepting the unknown.

Right and the strange thing about it is, the family believes foul play occurred,
so it is odd that family is clamming up now when they think someone kidnapped Susan, or that any type of foul play occurred in Susan's case..........

I'm also hoping the disappearance was staged, by Susan. And maybe that's why the family isn't organizing searches and trying to keep her name in the news, because they know this, too. Maybe they know in their hearts that she was not happy where she was and took off and began a new life. They just aren't saying. That's the only way I would be able to just more forward with my life, fwiw.

I really hope you're right. That's the best case scenario IMO at this point. From what little we've learned about her here I have a hard time picturing her staging the whole thing, but I also don't think we have a very well-rounded picture. No offense to anyone, but we just don't know that much, particularly from a variety of sources. I would dearly love to hear something from her sister, for example. Or neighbors... or I know we've said it a gazillion times, but fellow dog walkers, or store clerks and baggers, or ?? I feel like someone somewhere could help us understand Susan a little better, and it might in turn help with finding her or finding out she's ok.

Very interesting, nikb. I left a short message on Susan's missing FB page earlier, asking for an update, searches planned?, vigil?, what does the family think? I have never seen such apathy toward a missing person in my life. Sorry, but I feel so bad that Susan appears to have no one except us as her advocate(s). SMH and continuing to pray.

Hey. LE - what, if anything, is going on? With another missing woman, Roseville PD must have its hands full (?!)

Another woman nearly Susan's age was just reported missing from Roseville: http://www.news10.net/news/article/258169/2/Woman-missing-from-Roseville?sf17493831=1. It's probably unrelated, but wanted to post it just in case it sparks anything for anyone.

I came here to post the same thing. Getting scary. Roseville is NOT that big.
:( Cynthia Figueroa, 53, has been missing since Wednesday from Roseville. She is described as a white woman, 5'6" tall, weighing about 130 pounds with blond hair and brown eyes. Read more at http://on.news10.net/1eyOZi6

This woman went missing in her car, like the others, except for Susan. Wonder if any of the others, or their cars have been found-I think there were two other women?
