The minute I thought this case couldn't get any stranger, bam, there it goes.
I have no words.....
I have no words.....
Dang... they're on it on the Roseville Police and Fire FB page. Unfortunately they didn't really have any new info, but I'm impressed they got back to me so fast. All they said was "No, I'm sorry, Mrs. Jacobson is still missing and there is no new information."
Some strange post on craigslist. A little creepy..

That post was in response to this post

Anyone else think this is a little odd in some way?
That's great that they answered back so fast.
Thanks for all that you do as well, nikb.![]()
Uh yes, very odd! I hope it's wrong, though I suspect it probably isn't.I want so much to believe she's still out there alive somewhere. Heck I love the theory/possibility that maybe she ran off with someone and is happily hiding, but I know the likelihood of that being the case is so, so small.
I wonder what the Craigslist poster meant by she didn't put up enough of a fuss by Raley's/Starbucks? And "When she did..." How would they know this? Very strange.
Well if you wanna give it a shot: http://www.roseville.ca.us/police/

Maybe you'll have better luck, we can hope so!
I asked about her on their FB page too, don't know why I didn't think to do that before. Fingers crossed...
Excellent idea! I just saved it in TXT format and sent it to their contact email addy. I hope I'll hear something back.
That posting is very strange. But it could be nothing more than an oddly worded opinion. I mean most people here know enough to think Susan may have been frail, was obviously very small and clearly there wasn't a big commotion at Raley's, whatever happened to her. Even assuming she is not alive is not exactly "out there" at this point. JMO
Just weird. It's like they knew something. How did they know about her "mistake"? How did they know she didn't fight?? Or that she did later?? It was like blaming the victim.
The second one sounds like it could have been written by one of us. Why isn't anyone looking for her??? People in Roseville don't even know she's missing. The word is not getting out. How many times have we said this over and over again??
Now this Reconveyence and Subtitute Trust thing.
When my in-laws passed, my FIL went first. Everything passed straight to my MIL, she did not have to go through probate.
In the case of Susan, she's missing, has not been declared legally dead. That won't come for another 5 years if she's not heard from by anyone.
I don't know what the laws are on existing joint funds, like bank accounts, etc. It would seem that they would not be frozen as long as husband is not a POI or suspect. For these 5 years, can he spend the money as if it's all his own?? Or does he have to file something to show how much they had at the time she disappeared and half the assets are now frozen??? That doesn't make sense.
If it was in a trust, then her half of the trust is safe, I think. We need Gitana.

I have to agree cluciano. The reason I said that I have no words, is because there is no accounting for "taste" so-to-speak, and I think this person was showing their viewpoint.
When the writer used the words Most Likely, that to me, is interpreted as they did not know really, but were giving an educated guess on what they perceive happened.
When the writer used the word About, (about all that is reasonable expected) implies to me that perhaps the family Could do more, but not much more.
The writer writes their own thought that "it's scary."
The writer writes FOR now she is in the hands of God.
The word FOR, to me, implies that God is with her now, and later, someone will find her, and she will be in their hands.
The writer addressed the Family Issue first, Then Susan.
I think this is a person giving their opinion that they thought she was in the parking lot in addition to near where the wallet was found, but it was found near the Wells Fargo, and not Starbucks....They knew she was small, perhaps read that she had hip surgery in the past, etc.
I do commend Nikb for sending this info to the police.
If this note is not what I think it is, then the police will definitely investigate more if there is more to it.
Thanks also for littlemisscontrary for bringing it to the forefront and giving the note the attention that it needs, whether it means something, or nothing really.
Getting Susan's name out there is Key in helping to find her.
I am hoping that she will be found. There are so many people that care about her, that have not met her.
Websleuths Unite! We rock!
IMOO.
I don't know where the person is getting their info unless they've actually read what we have. Did the son post all around that his mother was frail and weak and had problems? Or how would anybody know that. I know a tiny woman who weighs 95 pounds but she's not weak or frail and would fight for herself. So pics would not tell the story. I haven't read the Craiglists posts and have never been on that site.
