Great work!! I'm so baffled on this one.

Thank you :)

It's an odd one, for sure!! She sounds like a troubled "free spirit" who went off to find herself, maybe? From what little we know of her, she reminds me of Victoria Moon Erickson.

Wow, this is so strange. Do you remember the ax-wielding hitchhiker that saved those ladies? I followed his story for a bit, and someone had posted this video. Look at the girl in the back dancing. Could that be her? I found Kai's Facebook and he is from California.

~respectfully snipped video for space~

I've often wondered if Kai is a missing person. Someone, somewhere, may be looking for him right now! There's really no way to know or search, I don't guess.

That's exactly who this reminds me of as well! She has 2 open blog posts on the MySpace you linked above, I read "Venice" last night. She also has a picture of herself dressed as Hunter S Thompson. I hope this is a case of her wandering away to explore life on her own. Her weight has me freaked out though...

this seems to me like she's just a wanderer and she's gone off to do some exploring... wait, scratch that. she had groceries in her car. i'd like to know if she had a job? if she had very limited funds, i would think groceries wouldn't have gone to waste if she was about to take off.. she would have taken them with her. the keys being in a side pocket? doesn't sound like a place the keys would end up unless they were placed there? perhaps they were a spare set?

"She carried a bright blue ukulele, which was not found in the car and could be in her possession."

This is so sad, no one seems to care. Who did she get money from ? In Canada you need an actual address (not a car) to get welfare. What about the family mentioned in the article? Does anyone still look at this site?

Welcome Frannie! It is sad. I still do a search on her name from time to time but there's been no news since that original article. I don't know of anything I can do (like most of the cases on this site) but continue hoping for the best.

I suppose somebody who does Facebook could try contacting some of the friends on her page to see if they know anything.

Not a single post since April !!!! When no one cares, you fall through the crack and are soon forgotten. So very sad.

At one time she was someone's little baby, to be loved and cuddled (I hope) and then siblings that might have loved her, friends (?) well at least acquaintances, where are you ?????

Usually people are protective of their beach spaces. How can a car be there so long?
I hope her family didn't just forget and that maybe she's been a rolling stone on her own.
She had to have friends!

She has 4 friends on facebook that have the same surname.

From what I could see none of them is mentioning Tess in their updates, there doesn't seem to be an active search or effort to find her. But two of them don't seem to be very active on fb anyway, and one page was not open for me, so I can not deduct much.

So I don't know ... either she is not missing (anymore) or she is estranged from the rest of the family? They all seem to be well off, certainly not living-out-of-a-car style of life. Just speculating, of course.

I noticed that as well...no mention of her on fb.

Family seems to be very into crossfit.

She hasn't slipped through the cracks. I am her cousin. We miss her VERY much but the scent has run thin. We think (hope) she joined some commune in the woods and decided to no worry about her worldly possessions.

If anyone has any ideas of where to look? She has been gone a long time and we all miss her so much.

So happy to have you on board. Have you spoken to the police to see if her case is still open and active ? When did you or any other family member last saw or spoke to her ?

Are her parents around ? Siblings? Was she in the habit of dropping out of sight for lengthy period?:seeya:

Weird case, I really hope she did just go off the grid because there is nothing, anywhere.
