LOL, posting at the same time.

a couple of points:

pink shirt could have been red & white plaid. They may not be releasing description in order to not tip off perps?

I still think gang related due to the exact timing of gang unit being called in. It was FBI assisting in house to house searches prior to child being found.

Gang units usually know individual g
Gang members so they may be helping to ID the suspect(s).

The fact that there's no warning about a perp on the loose is telling.
The drop off of the victim is more likely due to a required activity rather than the act of a serial criminal. If it was a gang initiation for rape and nor murder, and they were done, the drop off makes sense.
or retaliation for something.

otherwise she never would have been found IMO.

Someone may have posted these thoughts - I don't have a chance to read every post but read many on here.

I've read over and over that this is how serial killers start - they let their first captives go. If they are not caught at that point, then they do it again and kill the next time because they didn't like all the attention brought on by the first abduction.

And they can't let them out! They'll do it again!!!

I was wondering about this (their potential next victim(s)). Thank you.
<edit>Can you name any specific examples?

I'm leaning toward not a gang initiation based on this report. Maybe a couple of perverts? She says two guys took her from her house? Am I reading this right?

Looking for two men...

Snipped:
Officer Sara Faden, an LAPD spokeswoman, said Thursday morning that police were still looking for two people the girl described as her captors and for a vehicle.

****** told police she did not know the men, one of whom was described as about 18 years old. She told police they had taken her from her house to an abandoned home nearby and then to a storage facility before dropping her off at Kaiser Permanente's Woodland Hills Medical Center.

Police said Wednesday night they already had one vehicle in custody and were looking for a second. They said it was unclear why anyone would have wanted to kidnap ******, and they did not know Wednesday what had happened to her during the time she was gone.

what is it that makes you think not gang related from this?

SERIOUSLY!

Hopefully they haven't released a description because they already know who these animals are and are just getting their warrants in place.

Otherwise....wth?

I agree. the scanner thread from yesterday is closed so there may be info on it that LE needs to keep quiet for whatever reason.

The first mention of the gang unit involvement is in the quoted post below which i am bumping up. For those trying to cross reference scanner info with the first mention of the gang unit, i am bumping the post to give you a time frame about when/time to search for the info.

he's being called a suspect now. gang unit involved.

You know what, you're right absentia. It very well still could be gang related...but if it is, then why are cops only looking for two suspects?

I'm totally thrown off balance. I know this crap happens but it shouldn't. It's scary as hell to think our children could be stolen from their beds in the middle of the night & violated in ways unfathomable to a normal person's mind. So I'm off my game today maybe, taken by surprise. I hate this stuff so much.

2 guys. That's what made me think not a gang. Maybe they are?

Ok, so jumping off your theory, whose territory does this family reside in? Which gangs surround nearest? We could at least start checking tech data related to certain keywords pinpointing certain gangs. Maybe we can come up with a picture that shows the truck & take it from there? Unless the truck was stolen?

LAPD's robbery homicide division has taken over the case and is working with the FBI to track down the two men. The girl could only describe one of her suspects, saying he was a white male about 18 years old. The second suspect is a male, but she could not describe him any further.

snipped

Police are looking into whether there's a connection with a break-in that happened at a house about a block away, which occurred at about the same time the girl went missing.

snipped

Police said they do not believe the suspects were armed, and they also believe the victim did not know the suspects.

2 guys is what makes me think gang. and at that age. They may be the ones who kept her. If she was assaulted by multiple perps, she may not have seen the others (dark room, blindfolded, etc). The 2 suspects may be the ones she was with and can describe.

Her keepers, right?

Ok, she said there were 2 of them but she only described 1 as being white around 18. If the other guy that was in contact with her were black, she'd remember that wouldn't she since it was daylight when she was dropped off?

I wonder if they spoke English w/o an accent or strong dialect.

The abandoned house - hope it was dusted down completely for prints & DNA.

so unless they were looking for someone to abduct in the first break-in, why kidnap her if they're just robbers?

I'm seeing a lot about Hispanic gangs in the area, anyone familiar with the area perhaps that could point me to some of the Caucasian gangs?
