Unfortunately I must admit that I dont see a happy ending coming out of this. I hope I am wrong, but I think the couple are no longer with us. No activity on their bank accounts, credit cards, cell phones... all that supposed cash money. No calls during the holidays, especially with news of a baby in the family, some of their personal effects still being on the boat, car being found in Mexico --- I wish there was some other conclusion than the one I think--
prayers for them and their family
I don't know that it's all that unusual yadler. Consider this. When they have someone, a suspect in a serious crime, but they don't have enough evidence to hold them on THAT charge, but during their investigation they do have enough evidence on ANOTHER charge, I would think that they would try to get the individual off the street on the lesser charge, while they try to compile evidence for the more serious crime. Watcha think?yadler said:Maybe the "buyer" is in the witness protection program. Maybe he's a snitch. But it sure is unusual for LE to arrest a suspect for another alleged crime (money laundering) rather than for the crime at hand: murder of two innocents.
Doesn't everybody who's 24 have 400 grand in cash, just lyin' around?yadler said:Oh I agree. It's just so transparent, don't you think? I guess LE just doesn't have probable cause to make an arrest at this juncture. So keeping the suspect warm on another charge sounds great to me.
From what I've read, he paid $400,000 cash. He's 24 years old. Huh? Hallooooo. So the money laundering from the sale of drugs is sound.
