Its been three months since a 22-year-old mother and her 10-month-old baby boy were found strangled to death in their Southcrest apartment. Crimestoppers is asking for any information that could lead to a break in the case.

Herroz will never forget that summer night when her only child and her grandson were found murdered inside their south 45th Street apartment.
To have them gone is like your life erased because Im no longer a mom, Im no longer a grandmother, Herroz said.
Toris boyfriend Neal Springstube was not the babys father, but he was in the hospital room the day Dean was delivered.

The crime scene was horrific. Mother and son were both strangled. There was no sign of forced entry.
She would never open a door to a stranger. She knew who came in, I know that, Herroz said.
Police found baby Dean in his crib, with a cord around his neck.

My appeal is directed to those people who are out there and know something, he said. It may be small, it may be big. Im asking them to come forward, because its the right thing to do.
Until somebody picks up the phone and calls Crimestoppers at (888) 580-TIPS, this gruesome murder may remain unsolved.

Crimestoppers is teaming up with the Carol Sund-Carrington Foundation to offer a $6,000 reward in this case.

I am so glad to finally see an update on this. I hope that the plea to the public will bring the needed information to LE.
