I received this alert yesterday, it appears Dennis Potts in involved in a new online business. I couldn't find out more information.

I just thought that I would let everyone know who follows this thread that Dayna, Tori's Mother and Dean's Grandmother, reads here frequently. She really appreciates the kind words, prayers and words of encouragement. I am sure that she could use a few today.

What is the holdup in an arrest in this case? Everyone knows who did this crime including LE. I can't believe that this guy hasn't been arrested. Did LE find any evidence when they went into the house after the murders? Time is going by and nothing is happening.

Dayna, I can't imagine being in your shoes and nothing happening as day after day goes by. It has to be a nightmare as you wait for justice for your daughter and that precious little boy. This crime is just so horrible that I can't imagine LE ever putting it on the back burner.

I emailed Nancy Grace about this case quite a while ago and I have never seen it appear on her evening show. This is a case that she should cover in my way of thinking anyway. Maybe we need to blast her with emails and see if we can't get some results. I thought for sure that Nancy would cover this case of all cases. What he did to his own little baby is just beyond belief. He has to pay for that. I don't care who he thinks he is or how much of a big shot. Your daughter and grandson deserve justice and somehow they will get it. Let us know if there is anything we can do to move things forward.

Why do you think there has been no arrest in this case? Does LE not have any evidence against that guy? I really hate it that he is out there just living his life while this mama and her beautiful little boy are gone thanks to him.

Steve, I have the same question. Do you think they just don't have any evidence at all against this guy? Or maybe not enough for a grand jury?

It appears there hasn't been any write ups in their local paper for months.

The circumstances are all there, you'd think they'd be able to come up with something to back up what they do have.

You'd think this case would get even a fraction of the notoriety that Laci's did. I mean the baby was already born and hanged, for crying-out-loud. How much more henious of an act can you come up with.

I have written to NG and received no response. There has to be something we can do to bring this case to National attention so the pressure will start and someone speaks up. This guy has had long enough to have talked to someone.

My thoughts are with the family. If there's anything I can do to try to get this case kick-started, please let me know. I'll do whatever I can. The victims deserve justice and the perp needs to pay the price for what he did.

I think we all have waited long enough for this SOB to be arrested. I realize it takes time to secure an arrest, but how much longer are we expected to wait? Why isn't this on national news? If there is anyone out there that can get this out in the media please speak up. It is just not right that a crime of this magnitude is such low profile....These two beautiful souls are crying out for justice, as well as the people left behind mourning fo them. JUSTICE needs to be served NOW!!

All -- I'm simply not sure what's going on, but I know that the case is not considered "cold," per se -- though Dayna may write me to correct that impression if needed.

I can also tell you that I've heard that some of the cops who worked it were deeply, profoundly affected. I don't know if there have been screw-ups or what, but from what I've heard, there were certainly some people who took the case very, very seriously, and are working to see it resolved.

Other than that, I'll wait to hear from Dayna when she's up to it. She was kind enough to leave a comment on my interview with Ann Rule at CrimeBlog.US, and I sent that on to Ann. I don't know that Ann will ever do a treatment of the story, but I know she seems to find it every bit as upsetting as we all do.

I also emailed Nancy. It really ticks me off that she doesn't even have the decency to give this case 5 minutes of her time when she covers other cases for days in a row. Doesn't she get it...THIS BABY WAS HANGED. I just want to scream that over and over until someone catches on and gets it out in the media. That should have caught everyone's attention. Nancy covers Anna Nicole for weeks off and on. Right now she is covering Lisa Stebic and yes, I want Lisa found and that husband of hers arrested but give some time to others when you have nothing new to report. This case is just horrific. What kind of an animal does something so horrible to a little baby....an evil person who thinks he isn't going to be put away.

Maybe we should all flood Nancy with email and maybe Dayna could send Nancy the story along with a picture of that beautiful little grandson. I'm not saying that Tori isn't just as important but HANGING A BABY. How much worse could it have been. People will be horrified if the story could only get out there.

No, I don't. There are some other hosts I might be able to get through to, and I certainly can get people at the big newsmagazines to read my e-mails (Dateline, etc), but I got bupkis with Nancy. Her show has referenced my blog, but I fear she may not have appreciated some things I've written about her, even though what I wrote was, in hindsight, pretty mild compared to the rest of the blogosphere. Nancy is probably wary of blogs, in general.

Greta usually reads what I send, but I'm pretty sure more than one person who has posted here has let her know about this story.

As I have stated over and over in this thread since learning of these horrific crimes, I am outraged at the lack of media coverage. I have emailed all of the major news shows so many times that I have lost count. I do not even get the decency of a reply. I have sent out bulletins on myspace asking everyone to do the same. I have asked members here at WS's to write to Nancy Grace, Greta or anyone that will get the story out there. I honestly don't know what else to do. I think that if they were bombarded with emails or letter's all at one time, that might get there attention. It is just so strange to me that they are not all over this. It makes me wonder if somebody with a lot more pull than me and everyone else is working just as hard to prevent coverage.

In my post above, I included numerous email addresses for media sources. Please send this or your own email to as many as possible. Like Dayna says in her email, there is strength in numbers.

We are pleading with every media outlet in the country to help us bring national attention to the horrific murders of a young mother and her infant son that occurred on July 26, 2006.
Tori Vienneau was 22 years old, she was found beaten and strangled to death in one room,
and her infant son Dean Springstube was 10 months, and was found in another room
hung from a noose like an animal!! They were my babies. My name is Dayna Herroz. I am Tori's mother and Dean's grandmother. She was my only child, the light of my life, and Dean was an angel on earth.
Everyone that knew them knew instantly the animal responsible for this horrific double homicide in San Diego. That said we also thought we would have an arrest within days. It will be 10 months since the murders Saturday, May 26.
We have had little media attention locally or nationally in regards to this case. So we are pleading with you to please help us bring attention to the murders of two very innocent people.
When Laci Peterson was murderedit was front-page news and on every media outlet across this country and in my opinion it was crucial in the arrest of Scott Peterson.
There is strength in numbers, and when all of those people joined together in the fight for justice for Laci & Connor there was no way to hide. When I say that I mean for Scott Peterson and the legal system in charge of the investigation and those involved when it went to trial.
I was naïve enough at that time to believe that no one would ever kill the mother of their child, and their own baby ever again.
I was wrong, the only difference is in this case, is that it was my daughter was murdered, and this time the child was alive and well for 10 months before being hung like an animal from his crib!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what I don't understand is why no one will touch this story.
So I am pleading with you, please help us find justice for Tori and Dean.
Please help us get the media attention that was given to Laci and Connor resulting in their arrest and conviction and sentencing to death row.
We cannot do this without your help, I am one person and I am broken and I am begging you to help me.
This cannot continue to happen to our children as a means of getting out of paying child support, or the responsibilities that come with having a child.

I sent my e-mails off this morning. Everyday I check this thread hoping and praying that an arrest has been made. I know the amount of frustration I feel is nothing compared to what Tori and Dean's loved ones feel.

I read this tread yesterday morning, and have been thinking about it over the course of the day. I just have to think that LE is stalling an arrest because they don't know if Dennis OR his father actually committed the crime. The father would have had more to lose than Dennis at the time especially with the child support payments. Dennis was living at home with no income, he was being supported by the father. It's also apparent the father lied about an alibi for his son. Call me crazy, but I really think dear ol' Dad did the dirty deed.
