A coddled little golden boy like Potts will suffer a lot in lock-up. Especially if it becomes known that he's accused of killing a young woman and her infant son.

Steve

And most especially the manner in which they died.

Have fun Dennis, karma's a beyatch.

I keep refreshing signonsandiego.com looking for the story, but nothing yet.

Bittersweet.

This is such a relief. Thanks for updating us, Steve!

I've been watching the SD news sites too. I hope they have enough to finally bring him down! I'm guessing they do or they wouldn't have arrested him. The suspense is driving me nuts! I can't even begin to imagine how Dayna feels!

And how he did it.... :furious: :furious:

I really doubt there will be anything in the news until after they had their meeting with Dayna... it is proper procedure to inform the victim's families first. That thought has kept me somewhat calm for the past two hours! Steve, do you happen to know what time the meeting is though? Patience only goes so far... lol. :)

I would think the meeting may be to tell Dayna what charges will be filed against DP and what evidence/info. they have so far to charge him. I'm also thinking she will told not to discuss what comes of today's meeting and the Case in general.

This day got more magical here in Atlanta -- it's snowing, and accumulating. I don't know why the two things -- this development and the snow -- are linked in my mind, but they are.

I've updated my blog entry with the release from the San Diego PD. As soon as Max Corn and Dennis Potts are in the San Diego Jail's inmate roster, someone needs to see about snagging their mugshots.

BTW -- I've noticed that on an inmate's information page with the SD Jail, there is a link where you can send an e-mail to an inmate. Maybe you all could get a little message to Mr. Potts that way, let you know what you think of him. I'd recommend not using your own address, though. :innocent:

"Authorities said on Wednesday that they had arrested Dennis Potts, 23, and Max Corn, 23. Potts faces two counts of murder and conspiracy to obstruct justice, while Corn is accused of conspiracy to obstruct justice.

Who is this Max Corn guy? There was a guy who was once a friend on MySpace with Dennis named Saddmaximus - he dropped Dennis as a "friend" when Dennis went underground.

OMGOSH. This is excellent news. Are the charges going to stick? What triggered the arrest? Oh, I have to read all these articles and catch up! Thank God, this is the best news all day.

Pretty sure that's him. He is, I think, the guy who basically had alibi'd Dennis up till now. Hence the "obstruction" charge.

I had to stop following this a long time ago, are you's saying this has really been solved?

  • #215
If an arrest means solved, then yes. I don't think a crime is truly solved until a verdict is rendered, though.

Let's hope we get news like this about other cases one day. The name Raven Abaroa comes to mind.

Agreed and Amen on this one.

I don't think Max Corn is the same person as "saadmaximus" - at least he age is off. I got homeand went to the bookmarked Myspace, and saadmaximus is 29 years old. I am just glad this part of it is over. Detective Rooney had said that "sometimes it is a long road, but he was willing to take that road".
