Trinity Leigh Bray and Anthony Florentine-Perez

CHP Garberville was notified by friends and family of Bray’s, she had not made contact nor been seen since the accident. Officers were dispatched to all known current and prior addresses of Bray’s to confirm her and the child’s welfare. A welfare, “Be On the Look Out” was broadcast to adjacent and neighboring law enforcement agencies. CHP Air Operations, officers from the Garberville CHP, and Leggett Valley Fire Department conducted a coordinated air and foot search of the area surrounding the collision scene and were unsuccessful in locating either party. The investigating officer attempted contact with Bray at all known prior contacts and a cellular phone locating ping was initiated to attempt to locate Bray. All attempts were also unsuccessful.

If anyone has any further information regarding the whereabouts of Trinity Bray and/or Anthony Florentine-Perez please contact the Garberville CHP area office at (707) 923-2155.
Law Enforcement Seeking Woman and 3-Year-Old Who Went Missing After Serious Highway 101 Wreck Near Confusion Hill

CHP: Woman, toddler missing after crash in northern Mendocino County – The Ukiah Daily Journal

According to Trinity’s adopted mom, Julie, “Anytime she has ever gotten into an issue she calls me. I tried to call her, but [the phone] keeps going right to voice mail. All I can think that she’s unconscious in the woods.”

Julie believes Trinity would have tried to come home if she could because “she was supposed to be signing a rental agreement yesterday; she was going to be getting her own place.”

Yesterday, Julie, began searching alongside Hwy 101 on foot. She went out looking again today. “If I’m yelling for her and she can actually hear me, she’ll probably come out,” Julie told us.

If anyone has time to help, Julie said, “We need some assistance. It is just me and two of my girlfriends.

Weird story, why didn't she call for help instead of leaving the scene?

Her name is spelled differently in this article:

Yesterday, family and friends of missing woman Trinity Brey joined law enforcement as well as a search and rescue team in northern Mendocino. Today teams will search again.

According to Jolene Evans, a friend of the family, she and Julie, the missing woman’s adopted mother, as well as another friend showed up between 8 and 8:30 a.m. but were soon joined by Officer Logan of the Mendocino Sheriff’s Office and his K-9 as well as a CHP officer.

On November 30, Trinity Brey, her three-year-old son, Anthony Florentine-Perez, and a male friend, Steven Gutierrez, were headed north on Hwy 101 when the vehicle that Brey was driving collided with a tree on the east side of the road for unknown reasons not too far south of Confusion Hill. Gutierrez received major injuries in the crash. Brey took her son and began walking north, according to a witness. Before officers arrived at the scene, Brey and her son were gone. She hasn’t been seen since and her phone goes to voice mail.

Evans told us, that Officer Logan walked the dog around the area first hoping to catch the scent of the missing mother and child. But, she said, nothing was located.

Then, in the afternoon, a search and rescue team combed the area. “I think it was 13 people that showed up and did a thorough search including a drone,” Evans told us.

“They are planning to look again tomorrow,” Evans explained. “SAR is coming back tomorrow. A great bunch of people I can’t stress enough how wonderful everybody is…Julie and I are going to arrive early so we don’t miss anything.”

She explained that having a group of people assist in the search was comforting. “I can’t stress enough how thankful I am,” she told us. “At first I was feeling pretty helpless but then people started showing up. I haven’t slept we’re just worried.”

I wonder if Gutierrez is able/conscious to speak about if he knows anything why they would walk away? Seems very odd that she would leave the scene when her friend was seriously injured, especially as she was the one who was driving (could the reason she crashed be the reason that left the area?)

Maybe under the influence or had active warrants? Hope they are found safe!

Who reported that the woman and her son were walking northbound following the accident? Was she seen by witnesses? Was her alleged passenger the one who reported that? I went through the articles above (except for the ukiah one behind a paywall) and didn't see anything about that.

I have the same question. Glad you brought it up. Do we know for a fact they were in that car to begin with? IMO

A head injury could cause someone to leave the scene of an accident in a confused state. I'm very worried that Trinity's mother is correct and she's seriously injured (or worse) in the woods. I wonder if the toddler was in a car seat?

If the witness was the driver, then I don't know that I trust the "witness" statement that they walked north.

It's not clear, but I do think it's clear that the tree nearly killed the passenger, and that the passenger was on the passenger side - doesn't sound like he could get out of the car on his own power.

The damage on the driver side was small to nothing (apparently). It does sound as if there was a witness to the accident, but LE isn't going to tell us that.

I'm glad mom and son have been located! FWIW, if they are in actual Leggett as noted in the video above, that is indeed south of the Confusion Hill area.
