Tyson Fiddler went missing Friday October 4th, 2024 from PJ's in Diamond Springs, CA at approximately 1:50am. His car was found there. He is 5'11", 190lbs. He was last seen wearing a plain black shirt, navy blue shorts and black flip flops. He has brown hair and brown eyes. Possibly reading glasses. He wears black earrings, has thick eyebrows, dimple in his left cheek, has tattoos all down his right arm and upper sleeve of his left arm.

El Dorado county is large, it stretches from South Lake Tahoe to the NE edge of the Sacramento metropolitan area. Much of the county looks pretty remote. I will be interested to see how Tyson got from the bar where he was last seen to where he was found.

More than a year since a man who disappeared after leaving a bar was found dead, the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office on Friday announced an arrest in connection with his death.

Joshua Lighthall of Sacramento is facing homicide charges for the death of Tyson Fiddler, the sheriff's office said.

It would not be until Thursday (April 23, 2026) that detectives arrested Lighthall, 47, after a lengthy investigation, the sheriff's office said.

Murder suspect behind bars

El Dorado County sheriff’s officials announced the arrest of a Sacramento man, accused of killing local resident Tyson Fiddler more than a year and a half ago.

Joshua Lighthall is in custody at the El Dorado County Jail in Placerville.

Fiddler’s cause of death was not released but the complaint filed in El Dorado County Superior Court notes the charge that a weapon was used. EDSO has not released any additional details.
