Edited because there are several legal issues involving this criminal defendant. Looks as if the most recent ones are DV related and before that, a divorce from a third woman.

I initially read it wrong and thought the divorced partner was also the DV victim - but it's not clear (still possible, even likely).

A Lancaster man was charged with murder and arson in the death of a woman whose burned and stabbed body was found in a car at the suspect's home.

Prosecutors revealed in court Tuesday that Aguilar was found with multiple stab wounds to her neck and chest, in addition to severe burns on her face.

Authorities accuse Switalski of murdering Aguilar while he was free on bond after being arrested in connection with an unrelated sexual assault case.

The uncle said Veronica had been in a romantic relationship for roughly a year and that he knew little about the man.

Switalski is a former Northrop Grumman employee, and KABC-TV reported that he worked at the defense company until May. He was, according to LinkedIn, a program, cost and schedule controller and had worked for the company since 2010. In the spring, court records show, Switalski was arrested and charged with several counts of rape and sexual misconduct with a romantic partner. After being arraigned in June, he was released on $600,000 bail, according to court records.

The house is listed to Matthew Switalski, 37, a bible school graduate who works as a cost controller at aerospace company Northrop Grumman. Neighbors on the 41400 block said he rented out several rooms in the five-bedroom home to company
employees, none of whom appear to have been at home at the time of the fire.

The length of their relationship was something I didn't know about. I just assumed they hadn't been together for all that long. If they were together for a year, how could she not know he was arrested and lost his job unless he's the world greatest liar in many ways.

Idk if I have seen 10mil bail before. Especially heinous, like SVU says.

So young, had her whole life ahead of her. I wonder if she had custody of little sister. My God that kid will have to be in therapy the rest of her life. I will pray for her.

So sick of evil men doing evil things. It's like they cannot just leave, they have to maim or kill them to prove some ridiculous point!!! It makes me sick. I don't understand.

Wow. I would not continue being with my partner if he was arrested and charged with such crimes. There had to be some evidence for that, because it is hard to get rape charges to stick, for many people.

That very well could be. Given his violent history with women, it's definitely in the realm of possibilities.
