I find this case frustrating
And I feel sad for his wife

A man who seems to have a well adjusted, happy, simple life, vanishes
He speaks to his wife through the day and she says he told her he is watching golf and cooking dinner, he seems happy.
Will cooked dinner and when LC arrived home, the chicken was cooked and the oven was off

He does not mention that he had a guest. Did he have a guest?
She arrives home and he isn't there, but all of his things are .
She doesn't notice anything disturbed or missing from the house, so no apparent struggle, no apparent robbery
There are blood stains , not pools, but stains. LE finds them I think

Video does not show Will leaving
Video shows SUV arriving and staying minutes
Its cropped so we don't know what else it shows

Wills nephew tells Will's sister that he was visiting that day and they watched golf
Why didn't Will mention that to his wife in passing?

I haven't seen anything saying LE is doing any kind of big search for this man. Perhaps they are, maybe I just haven't seen it.
A 58 year old citizen is missing and they aren't searching for him?
In the PC, they stated that at that time, they did not know if a crime had been committed, it was a MP case

I am confused and I tend to start thinking of alternatives to murder, ran away from his life.
Surely, by now, they know who was driving that SUV
Wouldn't they have done forensics on it? If there was a POI, wouldn't their alibi have to check out?

Sorry, just trying to find sense in all of this

It is in the PC I believe. LC said he spoke to her on cell phone
His sister said he has no ID or phone with him

Yes, just listened again. Sister says he had no cell phone on him, no ID etc

Yes, saw that. But,was the phone found at home? Just didn't see it mentioned.

The sister said he had no phone or ID with him so that led me to believe they have found his phone at home.
Otherwise, how would they know it wasn't with him

After yesterday's post, I went back out to locations that stand on their own. Off Valencia Blvd., between the BMW & Mercedes dealerships is WS Hart Pony fields. The perimeter of those fields along the river banks from West side of BMW to the point then up river to the Mercedes. Behind all businesses on Cinema Dr. starting on Hollywood Ct. where a 4wd vehicle could easily get down there.

Today was 3 hours. All west of I-5 along The Old Road from Pico cyn. to Magic Mountain Parkway. Behind Walmart to Michaels, upper level from Vons to McBean Pkwy. Walked all 4 on/off exits at McBean Pkwy. West Ranch Golf Course TPC-Valencia maintenance facility hidden off Old Road next to Twin Oaks Pl. Talked to Supr. and their gate closes at 4pm. 2 restaurants near Magic Mtn Pkwy are closed. Across I-5, walked from Denny's to Best Western.

Has anyone searched the park he worked at?

  • #447
I do not think the park has been searched. None of the articles I have read have talked about it. Actually only one websleuth is searching none of the local LE is.

That would be Six Flags, which isn't an open park and charges for entrance. Too many people around, unless it was done under cover of darkness.

  • #449
I believe on my 2nd post above, I searched from I-5 along the river bank onto Magic Mtn. property to the north west corner of their maintenance yard including (6) semi sized dumpsters and over 100 dump truck piles of broken concrete. This park is not opened during the week and William would have been working on the weekend, but for sure on Jan. 26th Thursday, it would be closed.

If this group could ask a question that could move us forward on this case, what would you suggest? For example: During the Press Conf., besides the neighbors video, Detective Ralph suggested they looked at other video. My assumption would be business video. "What streets did you find helpful video on?"

What kind of relationship did William and his nephew have? Were they close? Did they do activities together? Did they ever have any problems between them?

What was Williams' daily routine like?

one of my questions is : To WC's nephew, why haven't you done any news interviews ?

Question to LE
Why no dogs?
Why no info on when and if the nephew was there earlier?

Question to neighbor
How often did nephew visit?
Was it usually when LC was working?
Did you see his vehicle earlier that day?

Normally, I would already been on a new searching schedule today. But tonight at 10 pm PST, my little valley will get 5.58" of rain over the next 4 days which is more than most recent years. All of the signs I look for will be gone. I will be placing a call to Det. Ralph Hernandez in 1 hour in hopes of getting a small nugget of information that I can use to make 1 last search today. Thank you for posting great questions, all of which in some way will be asked. My intentions have been to be a solution to this case, but I have somehow violated some TOS rules in my early postings by listing public domain found information. If I get any question answered that could be helpful to this group, to me it could be seen as "hearsay". I'm just trying to be proactive....Admin. guidance would be helpful.

Good posts !

A lot of questions and tbh LE doesn't seem to be very forthcoming with any answers.
Maybe they know far more and are just gathering evidence ?

If I were the nephew and completely innocent and clueless.. you bet I'd be talking... not just to the media but to LE as well.
If you've nothing to hide and all that....

A few theories floating in my mind but with no poi's -- the theories will remain unsaid.
:moo:

It is interesting that LE has not definitively pronounced the 'family member' as being cleared in this case. Have they?

There is nothing new in the local paper. I contacted the journalist on Facebook and asked some questions. I'll let you know if I hear back and share things that are allowable on WS.
"Hi Jim
I read your article about William Cierzan in the Signal. I live a block from him and I am a member of the crime "solving" website Websleuths.com. We are all perplexed, as I am you are too, about Will's disappearance and the lack of information from law enforcement. A local member went to the SCV Sheriff Station and asked about the case and was told they were unaware. Wth? It's 2 mikes from their station. Same member has been walking the riverbeds and back areas all over SCV looking for clues. Why haven't they said if the Cierzan nephew is a POI? What type of blood was found by LE that the wife didn't notice when she got home?
Why haven't there been any organized searches or Canine SAR? The member of our group said the neighbor with the video camera surveillance said they were never interviewed by Law Enforcement. Do you have any insight? I can't post speculation on websleuths but personally I'm interested if you have a theory. Here is the link to William's thread if you would like to see it. You can be a certified member about this case if you want by contacting the administrator.
Thanks
Nancy"

It's too early to clear anyone until all the forensics come back and even when it does LE is usually very reluctant to clear anyone while the investigation is still ongoing.

But I have seen them do so in many other cases. In Sherri Papini case for example, we were all looking sideways at her husband. And LE kept pronouncing him as innocent, pretty early on, by saying his alibi was valid.

And I have seen it done many times when kids go missing. They often pronounce the parents as 'cleared' pretty early to protect them from public bashing etc.
