this is as close are the reports show and could very well be all the video shows. why would a neighbor's cam include the entire front of the home across the street?

It wouldnt at all, it looks like its placed so they can see anyone who walks to their front door.

windows where?
i grabbed this off the video linked above

Great screen grab. Thank you. I'm not sure what the question is about windows, but there are some at the front of the house (probably the living room, covered by overgrown bushes). As you can see, the path leading to the front door would have been in the direct line of the SUV's driver side, and when the door was opened it would have shielded the view of the driver, especially if the door was left wide open. We know the vehicle arrived at 5:06 pm and left at 5:12 pm, in daylight.

We (the public) don't see enough of the video (because it was edited out) to show which doors were opened on the SUV, for how long, how often, etc. We also don't see anyone exit or enter the SUV. Obviously LE edited that all out purposefully to preserve any information needed for a prosecution at the conclusion of an investigation.

Here's another shot of the house, at night, and would be the perspective that neighbors directly across the street would see if standing at presumably their front door. I think the camera must be even more left of that on the house, and we'd see an even less distinct view of the from path from the camera angle. At 7:00 pm on the day William disappeared, I assume it would have been dark, but probably not THIS dark.

i agree and if we're right, the reports were misleading when they said no one left the house according to surveillance video.

Does anyone think the license plate is fuzzed out on purpose?
Do you think LE can retrieve information from this video?

Notice how wide the tires are, and the custom chrome wheels are really deep. The sides have a step bar or platform, I can't tell which. Also, what kind of vehicle is that? Here is the best shot I could get of the very back of the SUV. I would like to know the type of SUV to learn how the back opens.

You are absolutely right
It makes a huge difference doesn't it
how do they know if anyone came or left that day?

i wonder if their garage was empty enough for a car to back into, even a little?

it looks like an older model toyota forerunner to me. i'm sure several other manufacturers made the same style.

If anyone had driven in or out, it would have been recorded
But if Will used the side path, or anyone else, how would LE know, unless there is more video

Yes, and yes. Not sure where any information retrieved has led, though. jmo

I often think about Linda
I wonder how she is managing
If she is alone
I wish she could get some answers
One way or another, it would be better than not knowing JMO
I would be crazy by now

Yes. It must have been so frightening to come home to an empty house. Especially if the house was in darkness.

Was that in reports or was it the sister that said that?

I agree, looks like a 4runner. These are 1999ish models:

This is completely impractical and inaccurate.
Also, the previous description of traffic flow is way off.
I've lived here for many years.
Bouquet canyon traffic during daylight hours, for the better part of the day, is a slow, inconvenient, ruthless stretch of road. 50 mph weeks if you're riding a motorcycle at 3am.
Thank you for your input. It's very meaningful.

Does anyone feel like making a map of all the places TMS has already searched per thread 1 and mark those in one color. Then mark the places noted in the quoted text from xmsmadex as not needed to be searched. Then maybe we can see what's left and figure out where to start talking about.

As a general consensus, I'd like people's percentages on burying, versus rolling over an edge, versus dropping down into a deep area, versus hiding in a building, versus dumpster, and anything I didn't just think of.

The longer this goes on, the more "facts" I am questioning
I have taken it as fact that it was highly unlikely that anyone left the house or came to the door, other than through the back
I mean, we have been told that Will had company
We have never been given a time frame on when that company came or left, just that they were watching golf at 1:30
We have never seen video of that person coming or going, yet, he says he was there.
Now, with the screen shots (TY Cool12) we see what we can not see, so how does anyone know who came or went.
Even if there is further video, unless the driveway was used, how would they know?
Its like starting all over

I agree if there was more than one participant. If someone acted alone or even with help, I go with deep hole/well/cave, deep ravine, or over an edge/cliff that ends in a deep ravine.

And I think they go back, to see if they need to tidy up.
I agree on the return. It was reported that Scott Peterson did.
