That's what I don't understand either. The oldest boy is actually JI's. One would think that JI's son would be the one in the biggest danger of harm from DB.

My Mom's a psychiatric nurse practitioner who specializes in children. According to her, often times, non-parental caregivers become resentful when they "have to take care of somebody else's kid." As a step-mom myself, I don't agree with that but, hey, some people are .

I can attest to that. I have my nephew. because his step mom resented him. moo :furious:

Cadaver dogs, tape, missing child,Casey Anthony you're about to be replaced in the spotlight by DB

I had the same thought. A new most hated woman in America? IDK but it could be a close call if D is charged in her baby's disappearance.

imo

Here is my one little glimmer of hope for the baby. One of the previous owners (had the pool and built the garage) did die while residing at the house. I was led to believe for some reason that I dont remember why now, that they died in the house. I am not where I can ask a question to some neighbors up that way to confirm that would know. I guess now I hope for dna to include or exclude. Please let this be the case! Please!

Was driving when hubby texted me with this. I am not at all surprised...but it still breaks my heart.

I am not off the fence yet. I read a whole lot of media that indicated this couple were devoted to their children and happy.

Consuming alcohol does not make someone more likely to kill their child. JMVHO.

I agree. But, respectfully, consuming alcohol to the point where you black out...makes it a heck of a lot easier to do something "accidental" and then not even remember what it is.

While the cadaver dog(s) hit is very disturbing and compelling...I just don't know that it's enough to make me believe that A) Lisa died in that home or B) the mom was involved in harming Lisa.

There were 4 people in the home before police arrived. Mom, dad, two older children. Anyone of them could have caused harm (deliberate or accidental)..and any one of them (or all of them) could be aiding a cover-up..of a deliberate or accidental incident.

I know that most *normal people will report an accident as just that. But I also have heard drug abusers and alcoholics who have covered up accidental child abuse or neglect incidents in order not to be found out as a substance abuser and lose their other children.

I just don't think anything can be ruled in or out at this point. But it certainly is disturbing.
I'm looking forward to an answer from those in the know as to how long a death scnt can remain in a home/carpet/floor before no longer being detectable. (in other words, can the cadaver dog(s) have hit on an old death in the home?)

Fluids coming out of a dead body smell different (for a variety of reasons) than fluids coming out of a live body. It's part of why the deceased start to smell differently even to us after a short time. For a dog it's just much much faster as they have way better noses.

If the blood came out of a living person and ends up on a band-aid or a pad, it still doesn't smell the same. The chemical make up started different.

First, let me say I am only theorizing and in no way trying to blame anyone. Now, that being said, I found it curious and not in a good way, that from the beginning, LB kept bringing up her boys. I also found it odd that on that very night, she has her son in bed with her. To me, that sounded more protective than what she was stating about the kitten.
Then she made the disturbing comment about the Omen house, where a little boy kills people. Then I wondered if she meant to say the Amityville house, where the son kills everyone.

It is just a theory I have that perhaps one of the boys did something that caused Lisa's death and LB covered it up to protect him.

What I think too...MOO

I remember cadaver dogs hitting on a dumpster in Halieghs case, come to find out it was a used sanitary pad or a bandaide?? anyome remember??

IIRC, if you bleed on a carpet while you are alive, dogs trained in decomp will not hit on it. However, if blood is coming from a deceased body, the dogs will hit on it.

If a body is deceased and laying in bed for a couple of hours. we might not smell it, however, once the body is removed and a trained dog goes in, they will hit on it.

Sorry if this has been stated already, but did the dog hit on the floor of the parents bedroom or the bed? My understanding was that it was the bed and bedding itself.

Just got home from work, :thud: I really can't believe what I am reading about the dog, and frankly I am totally suprised that LE allowed that to be public info !

Time for an arrest warrant, as I kept saying mom got tired of Lisa crying and killed her.. Why isnt she is jail.. This makes me sick.. What excuse is she going to come up with now.. Lets not call this an accident. You dont fake a kidnapping in an accident. Its murder.

Wonder if cat hairs were found in bed?

Did anyone ever see the kitten?

Theory
Something happened either Sunday night or Monday while the boys were at school. Possibly, Dad was trying to sleep for his night shift and the baby just kept waking him. Either he or DB lost it and in a fit of rage fatally injured Baby Lisa. Then in a panic both JI and DB decide that they must not report this. They will lose both boys, if they do. So they come up with a plan.

They temporarily hide Lisa in the backyard. DB removes the clothes because they are soiled. One of them scopes out a good place to get rid of any evidence. They drive around and decide on the dumpster. One of them sees a kitten (if there ever was a kitten) and brings it home to keep the boys occupied and away from Lisa's room, The door is shut because, they tell the boys and the neighbor, that Lisa needs sleep. Mom sets up a movie time with the neighbor, again this keeps the boys occupied, and she asks her brother to take her to the store where she buys the biggest container of wine that she can find and things for the baby. She probably really does need a drink, now. But it is more for an alibi or reason she doesn't hear anyone break in. After the neighbor leaves, she stages the house...pushing in the screen, leaving the door unlocked and the phones are JI's afterthought. That way we can say that the intruder took the phones so we couldn't call 911. After that the dumpster is set on fire as a red herring to point to someone getting rid of evidence of the abduction & theft. At some point, right before JI drives home from work (2:38 AM) DB turns all the lights on in the house. DB turns the fan on high and makes sure that the baby monitor is turned on. Maybe younger son heard mom milling about or coming and going, woke up and got into her bed. I doubt that was part of the original plan. JI did ask her why the boy was in her bed. It's finally time to call 911. And then the inconsistencies begin to unravel.

At some point during the day, if no one other than a family member says they saw Lisa, then DB...maybe with the help of her brother took Lisa somewhere special to her and buried her. I doubt they are going to find the burial site. I still don't see anyone in that family dumping their baby.

LE tried to have it sealed, media or someone got the document under the sunshine law, Nurse posted a link about it.

Reading through the search warrant, I'm really perplexed about the rolls of tape and tape dispenser. Seems a common every day item, so what did LE find that would lead them to think..."aha! Tape dispenser!" ? Not like they have a body wrapped in tape, or weapon with tape on it. So...what gives with the tape/tape dispenser, I wonder?
