Hi, this is my first time on this forum.
My neighbour was the victim of an arson attack on his home. We need any help we can get in identifying persons or license plates from the footage.
The police are investigating, however we live in Trinidad, a third world country. As you'd expect they don't have the technology to enhance footage.

Do all cars in Trinidad have square number plates (as is the case in Japan)?

They can be either square or rectangular. Depending on the best fit for your specific vehicle.

Thanks. I'm trying to identify the make and model of car.

One eyewitness said they believed it was a Nissan Note. We're not sure how credible that info is.
I was thinking that it was a Nissan Note.

Possibly an older model Nissan Note. (After the brake lights come off, just the rear lights are on and I think that their position was that height on older models, the more recent ones having lower brake lights.)

I'm looking at the alloy wheels, although they could be aftermarket ones.

Yes, seems to be Nissan Note, compare with such model
seen on youtube, say '2012 Nissan Note', although I have
not checked other years after that year.
Some things to look for/at are the curves of the rear bumper
as it goes under the car rear, the position of the rear lights &
the number plate/number plate light, the rear bumper (lower
left) almost flush insert reflector, the 'Note' reflective model
name to the left of the number plate, what appears to be
seen sometimes is the Nissan reflective logo above the
number plate, the position of the possible left indicator
above the front wheel, the seeming flatness of the rear roof
and the position of the rear rooftop antenna (actually I see
the roof black antenna base but I am not sure if the actual
antenna sticking up part is missing or if it can be folded
down against the roof? {more likely antenna to be missing?}),
maybe there are some reflective things on the front door
interior down low (seen when front door is open) that can be
compared to other Nissan Notes. Also, I don't know if you
noticed, at about timestamp 01:50 something appears to be
dropped out of the car, maybe balled paper or maybe the
cap of a fuel container was dropped, I guess you already
found it in the street.

Thanks for your help. Yes, two gas bottles were dropped which also caught ablaze. From the video it looks like the arsonists were caught by surprise and were in the midst when it initially was lit... they weren't too coordinated.
The police strongly believe at least one was burnt, and they're looking at public medical institutions for persons with that type of injury.

But technology wise, I think they lack the capability to enhance or properly identify anything useful to the investigation.
