Canada - 10 dead and at least 15 wounded in stabbing attacks in Saskatchewan, 2022

ONE DEAD! (I see I'm behind as usual)

Assistant Commissioner Rhonda Blackmore says the deceased was identified as 31-year-old Damien Sanderson. His brother, Myles Sanderson, is still wanted and is believed to be injured, though this was not confirmed.

One of the two didn’t get far, Damien’s body was found on the very same reserve where they caused the horrible tragedy. It encompasses a very large area according to their website, 15,099 hectares in size.

“Damien Sanderson has been found dead on the James Smith Cree Nation and his brother, Myles Sanderson, "may have sustained injuries" and may be seeking medical attention, said Rhonda Blackmore, commanding officer of the Saskatchewan Royal Canadian Mounted Police, at a news conference.”

So Regina is First Nation? I'm just trying to figure out how far away he was found from Regina, or if he was. Thanks.
Oh, sorry, that's confusing. Regina, Saskatchewan is not showing in this screenshot. I was trying to determine distances from point A to B to C. Regina is IMO a 3 hour drive from the James Smith Cree Nation.

So I wonder if they ever really made it to Regina or if the sighting there was an error.

It’s quite possible Myles fled alone in the stolen black Nissan Rogue but whether the Regina sighting was legitimate or not, I don’t think anyone can say for sure. Public Safety Alerts were shared in Alberta and Manitoba once again this afternoon.

@MistyWaters post #163 article link states they are brothers & also that men were reported being seen in the black Nissan Rogue in Regina. This leads me, IMO, that there is a 3rd person involved in this now, maybe not at the beginning.

JMOO
It's also a fluid situation. It's not unusual for early information to be wrong. In the end, it may be found they were never in Regina. Or that only one of them was there, but it was misreported as 2 due to assumptions they'd still be together.

Police confirm that hunt for James Smith Cree Nation suspect Myles Sanderson dates back to May

New article from cbc.ca

RSBM:
"Saskatoon police confirm that they've been searching for James Smith Cree Nation suspect Myles Sanderson since May.

That's when the 30-year-old stopped meeting with his parole officer and was classified as "unlawfully at large."

Sanderson had been serving a nearly five-year federal sentence for assault, robbery, mischief and uttering threats. He made parole, and then disappeared."
I'm only speculating here but it is extremely disturbing that Myles wasn't turned in since May. Someone perhaps in the community knew that he was wanted by LE and made no attempt to turn him in. I question how that could have happened. Were members in the community where he was staying complacent MOO? I don't see if even he visited the community someone would have known he was wanted as it was all over social media. Unfortunately a tragedy happened because Myles wasn't turned in. I honestly have to wonder if the people who know Myles thought everything would be fine IDK, but now wish in hindsight they had told authorities. What a horribly tragic lesson.

If Myles is still alive and running it's probably dawned on him by now that he'll be facing the charges alone. And no more statutory release, this time it's for good.

Myles managed to elude capture since May so he must have some sort of hideaway plan. IMO I doubt anyone will harbor him at this point though. I think he's on his own now.

Regina is a larger center and has a strong native population so it would be easier to blend in.
Yeah, may be grow longer hair or beard. IDK something to change his appearance. I hope he is so injured that he he has either passed on so he can't hurt anyone or he is going to a hospital and will be turned in.

What are the chances that Myles shot his own brother? Obviously I’m just conjecturing, but maybe Damian was slowing them down? Or felt guilty and wanted to turn themselves in?

If these guys can shoot their own people, maybe one could shoot his own brother.

I doubt that’s the actual scenario but I’m grateful one is down. Now to find the one who was already a fugitive.
