''One person is in custody after a stabbing left two children injured, one critically, in North York on Saturday morning.

The children are ages 1 and 3, according to Const. Alex Li, spokesperson for the Toronto Police Service. The person in custody is believed to be responsible for the stabbing, he said.''

Two tots stabbed in North York apartment
''The seriously injured toddlers were taken to Sick Kids hospital via an emergency run. But both kids are expected to survive.''
''Toronto Police Const. Alex Li said the victims are a one-year-old girl and a four-year-old boy who were located inside an apartment building.

“I can confirm we have one person (an adult woman) in custody we believe is responsible for the stabbing,” he said.

The woman in custody is reportedly the mother of the children. But there was no immediate word on charges.''

According to this LE report one of the children stabbed is only 6 months old, hope they both fully recover. rbbm.

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest made in an ongoing Stabbing investigation.

On Saturday, July, 11, 2020, at approximately 10:03 a.m., officers attended a Stabbing at Weston Road and Finch Avenue West area.

It is alleged that:

- officers located two children, a six-month-old girl, and a four-year-old boy suffering from stab wounds

- the injuries appeared to be serious and life-threatening

- both children were taken to hospital

A 36-year-old woman, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) two counts of Attempted Murder
2) two counts of Aggravated Assault
3) two counts of Assault

The identity of the accused will not be released, in order to protect the identities of the victims involved.''
