'An Australian man has been charged in Canada with child pornography offences after he was allegedly caught filming a boy in a public bathroom.

Aaron Voon, who is believed to work as a child psychiatrist at the Successful Development and Therapy Centre in Perth, has been charged with possession of child pornography, making child pornography and voyeurism.'

'A child psychiatrist from Perth accused of filming a boy in a public bathroom in Canada has given up his right to practise medicine until further notice.

Aaron Voon, 41, was arrested outside a movie theatre in Canada last month and charged with possession of child pornography, making child pornography and voyeurism.'

'A child psychiatrist facing charges in Canada has appeared in Perth Magistrates Court accused of possessing child exploitation material.'

'The Mount Pleasant man was not required to plead to the new charge and was remanded in custody after making no application for bail.

He is due back in court next Wednesday - the day before his case is due back before the court in Canada, which had imposed strict conditions on the 41-year-old, including a bail price of $80,000 and a ban from working with any person under 18.'

'Videos of boys using public toilets were found on the computer of a Perth child psychiatrist who is alleged to have committed a similar offence in Canada, a court is told.

Aaron Voon was released on bail by Perth magistrates after appearing on a charge of possessing child exploitation material.'
