Aline LALONDE, who could also be using the name Aline NEW, and have described the disappearance as uncharacteristic and unusual. She is 70 years of age and was last seen at her residence in Cochrane at approximately 11:00 p.m. on May 3, 2016

The OPP North East Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), the OPP North East Region Canine, the OPP Helicopter, the OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS), the OPP North East Region Criminal Investigation Unit under the direction of Detective Inspector Colleen McCormick of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have been called in to
assist with the investigation.

Cochrane man found guilty of killing his mother
COCHRANE — A Cochrane man convicted of murdering his mother will now wait until January before a date is set for lawyers to argue on sentencing.

Richard New was found guilty on Friday in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Cochrane of second-degree murder in connection with the death of 70-year-old Aline Lalonde (also known as Aline New).
