Fisk Creek also runs along residential housing in a community called Douglasdale, some of it that I have seen is just a simple path with trees, part of it has dense forest and some is wide open and it runs along the river.
Here is CTV's take...

Where is Parkhill on the map? Fish Creek Prov Park is at the bottom of map.
This picture is strange. I hope we here something today.
It leaves me feeling uneasy LL. I see divers, LE, photographer (ME ?). I am not from Alberta and looked at the map of Fish Creek Provincial Park and to me the waterway is connected to a larger water source but if body travelled down stream it was a long route. Otherwise, could have been brought to the Park. Just don't know and feeling uneasy. Again LL, thanks for finding the article.
Why do you think this picture is strange LL?
Well, we know its a male.
The accused in this mass murder does not have mental disabilities, or mental illness.
He has mental health issues ... he's nuts, not disabled, or ill.
ADHD is not a thing that causes people to commit murder, so why should it be considered during the murder trial?
I would have to disagree Tinkerbel, suicide by drowning? It states in reports the body was in the water and tangled amongst trees at the shoreline. Suicide seems unlikely imo respectfully.Could be a suicide.
I don't know that it is from a live shot of yesterday or an archived photo. That is all.
Travel time from 38A Ave (L's street) To Mallard Point, approx 18 min. The Bow runs south with numerous streets crossing over all along to the east there....

Yes, I didn't think of a jumper for some reason Tinkerbell. So yes, possible suicide related.Oh, well alright. In Edmonton, we have had suicides by drowning, people have jumped off the high level bridge, definitely more than once. My great uncle was one of them many, many years ago...seems he was drunk, and jumped. I think that a body in the water would eventually bloat and come to the surface. Not so unusual for it to float and get snagged by trees...that's exactly how a body came up at the lake when I was young. I don't think it's that unlikely at all.
Thanks Lori. I think if this is related the body or bodies could have been put in the water anywhere along that route? or travelled down stream.
Does anyone think it telling that no announcements have been made from LE about the deceased? The body was recovered at 3pm yesterday by medical examiner. Although if it is related the body could be difficult to examine with the amount of time that has passed. If it was a drowning I would assume an announcement would have been made. If it was a jumper as Tinkerbell suggested, I think an announcement would have been made as well. Just thinking outloud is all....
