Maybe to really confuse investigators? He travelled to Richmond to hide from police, why choose Richmond? I wonder if he travelled to BC over the years since moving back to AB.

A trip to Richmond would require a lot of stops at gas stations along the way, and would potentially be easily traced.

That appears to be a CTV photo, and the link that was provided is to the National Post.

The info on the poster was recorded in 1992, when Garland was 32 years old. His parents have nothing to do with it.

They do if he was conducting illegal activity on his parents property. They would have had a few conversations with LE. IMO.

The parents of a 32 year old criminal have nothing to do with the information that police put on the wanted poster.

My friend has a father who would drive from White Rock to Ghost Lake on 1 tank of gas in a Honda CRV. It drove us crazy but he had it mastered. If anything DG would need to top up half way and refill for the return trip and possibly a top-up. In BC the gas has to be pre-purchased before pumping, this can be done with credit cards at the pump or cash to the cashier. ETA - it could also be syphoned from another vehicle or kept in a jerry can in the back....

It seems to me that before we speculate that the accused drove 10+ hours, one way, with three bodies in the back of a pick up truck, there should be a basis for the belief. How does the place where he lived 15 years ago make it a good place to hide three bodies given that there are so many better places closer to home? Is it wild speculation, or is there something to go on?

I forgive you... I have experienced it myself. Have you driven the mountainous road between provinces? It is easy to coast and climbing is not a gas guzzler. The Coquihala would consume more gas, or he could have gone the Princeton route.

It seems to me that before we speculate that the accused drove 10+ hours, one way, with three bodies in the back of a pick up truck, there should be a basis for the belief. How does the place where he lived 15 years ago make it a good place to hide three bodies given that there are so many better places closer to home? Is it wild speculation, or is there something to go on?

I am fine with calling it 'wild speculation' I only arrived at this idea because of his past criminal activity in the Richmond area. He stole a tractor-trailor. Maybe it was used to 'cook' or transport products or to drop in the ground for his speculated underground shelter. Maybe he was caught with one theft but he could have done more. Maybe he planned to re-locate back to the coast soon and so he wanted the victims close. Maybe he kept in touch with his crime community. He was into importing and exporting chemicals maybe he has a storage area close to a port.

I think someone posted this pic before I did a ways back in the thread also, I think….but not sure…. Either way, glad it's clearly legible that the poster says 180cm, but yeah, could definitely be inaccurate as stated with the eye color.

There have been so many posts about this poster....why are we looking at it again? Because of the blue eyes vs. brown eyes? And because of his height...180 cm.? I think all posters looked at show the same information...It probably doesn't matter which source it came from?

Thank you! I wasn't able to see the fine print to read whether the height was 160, or 180. I've deleted the image I posted as it is unnecessary.

In terms of source, the only thing that matters is that the link is accurate. If the link is incorrect, it will most likely be noted. If it is possible to find the CTV news screen shot on the National Post website, I would appreciate a link. Otherwise, I think we have to conclude that the National Post link is incorrect. It's not really anything that can be debated. By clicking on the National Post link, we can see that it is not the correct link.

Oh...I see! Alright, but they're all incorrect, no matter the source. DG has brown eyes I believe, not blue, unless he was wearing colored contact lenses at the time. Currently he has brown eyes...his height was 180 cm ... 5'9" at that time (he may have shrunk a wee bit since then...since he's a little older)...and he looks like he's a little more toned now so he's likely lost some weight since then, not to mention we lose muscle tone in our faces a bit as we age. So...I think the fellow in the posters and the one that LE have are the same guy, so we're good! Right?

Yes, I have. He is nuts, as opposed to ADHD. I used the term "nuts" and provided a link to the definition of Antisocial Personality Disorder, also known as sociopath ... meaning that's what I mean by nuts. Sociopaths are not illogical.

Sociopaths are not illogical? Unless you have a PhD and have assessed the accused yourself, I am taking that as a grain of salt.
Honestly,... anyone can be illogical given various circumstances. I can only imagine the stress of having committed a multiple murder, not to mention the adrenaline rush.
