You're splitting hairs over semantics. I think you are demonstrating the Websleuths version of phenomenon known as "the CSI effect". To expect LE to have what you call "concrete evidence" in hand in such a short timeframe is the kind of unrealistic expectation spawned by tv drama.
IMHO
"I'm not prepared to hang a man" - anyone here who is ready to hang this man, put up your hand!! :seeya:
(Undeserved judgment and unfair appeal to emotion, IMO)
I would disagree with your last sentence here. I'm pretty sure you have no factual evidence to support your assertion that they had nothing concrete. I personally believe they were waiting for results of lab testing, and that they may have had a strong hunch as to the evidence those tests would yield.
IMHO
Yes, I recall that news article. I wonder which day that was that the neighbour saw AL in the back.
No dealings with DG, but what about MH?
Remember this?

Some would speculate I was coming to the defence of someone having their hairs split, by splitting the splitter's hair back. Those same would hope that the hair splitter would feel what it felt like, and perhaps refrain from doing so in the future, without the need to have it spelled out.
I was going over all the possible uses for a false identity, like employee, investor, owner, customer, bank accounts, travel, and purchases... among other things. It sure will be interesting to see why the Crown expects to present the identity evidence at any murder trial.

We should keep in mind there might a another, newer alias other then the MH one. Although it seems DG is attached to that after supposedly re-using it recently I think it was published. But there still might be another undiscovered alias he's used. Just a thought...
The victims, specifically the parents of Nathan, are both oil and gas employees. The grandfather, a victim, was an oil and gas employee.
Could you please provide a link to support the claim that the Calgary oil and gas industry is rife with illegal drug abuse.
I think Sam Elliott may have said it on the Yellow Rose of Texas in the 80's...lol...maybe.
Yup! That he is! :cheers:Sam Elliott, he's a cool cat! Somewhat sexy if you ask me lolWe gotta lighten the mood somehow in here hey? lol
I've pondered that one as well... but assuming an identity isn't as easy as it used to be. If the MH SIN wasn't purged or flagged, re-assuming that identity might not have been difficult at all. It may be less about attachment, and more about convenience and ease.
I'm more curious about the credit card, if it was a credit card. What would he have put on the credit card application? Employment history? Were any references checked?
Lalalacasbah, I always enjoy the way your cheery disposition shines through in your posts.
IMHO
Maybe I'm jaded, but do credit card companies even check references and info on applications anymore? Seems like they'll give those damn cards to anyone these days. But they must check, I'd think they have to. Maybe MH filled in the application and was an employee at P2 Solutions![]()
I think they do a credit check. I also think that if you have a credit card from one bank, they will just give you one from their bank...but again, I believe it's through a credit check. Which is what I don't understand....if DG is using MH's identification, where does the credit report on MH come from in order to gain credit cards? Must all be part of the false i.d. documentation that you get when you 'order' a fake identity.
Haha thanks! When I'm not ranting about elaborate theories (or simple ones too), I try to stay diplomatic, and I think we all appreciate an odd joke in here once in awhile to keep from everyone getting too tense![]()

Now I'm going to hear Elsbeth's voice everytime I read your posts! LOL!When I read posts here I have certain voices assigned in my head. One that I "hear" is Carry Preston in her role of the Goodwife, she plays Elsbeth Tascioni, here is a description of her character...
I dont think its a secret. I dont know if Elsbeth ever thinks of herself that way, but her mind is definitely very nimble. She will spend just as much energy in her mind looking at someones outfit as she will trying to solve a case. Both of those things get equal attention in her mind, and thats what makes her so delightful. I like to call her a scatterbrained genius. Shes someone who can actually have that many thoughts going on in her mind and still get things done.
She cracks me up!
