I personally think it was leaky garbage, if they were moving maybe they had to clean out refrigerators and freezers. I took a pick of my friends driveway pad after the fresh leaky garbage leaked all over her driveway and it was still showing 2 days after.

Could very well be Lois...or maybe an oil change done in the garage...spilled dirty oil or something? Maybe leaked out of something on the way to the back of the house to the garbage....hard to say..anything is possible...was just adding another possibility to our 'theories' so far.... :)

She was really good in Polanski's Repulsion. And you do know that she's a boozer and the Chanel 5 bottle is filled with cheap whiskey.

She was so creepy in Repulsion, and her and David Bowies as 80s vampires in The Hunger lol!

like I said, a blank (no tip at all will kill you) the velocity of the air alone from the muzzle/barrel will blow your skull/gut in. a salt tipped 22 will make a cleaner hole, disintegrate and dissolve simultaneously. a wad of wet paper will kill you, wax or as mentioned, at close range just the gas-off. salt/wet paper/wax would give you a bit of room to make either a kill shot or a blinding shot. sound is still not an issue with a suppressor or a blanket.

I know it's in bad form to quote oneself, but it does help with continuity.

DG would not be allowed to own or handle a gun, prior to the whole crime. in fact, his parents would have certain restrictions on owning with a family member who is restricted (if the in fact own a gun). however, should they own a 22, which is likely, and kept the ammo safely away, it does not mean dg couldn't get some blank 22's that are commonly used in hilti nail guns.

Totally excellent point Stan, about DG not being allowed around firearms.

If the Garlands are humble, church-going, quiet/private folks they might not be the types to own a gun if not needed for the acreage.

I guess if he did want one bad enough, there's always black market guns. I wonder if there's a black internet market for firearms in Canada? I know it's easy to buy online in the US, but probably not here.

Oh no, they can be bought off the internet....some 'friend' got a machine gun. I guess they sent it in parts so it's easier to get across the border, but we can get them. Besides, it wouldn't be hard to get one from one of the young 'gangs' out there I wouldn't imagine. Someone DG knows could have connections to such things.

You might find the following articles interesting:

Calgary gun theft:

The above are just examples. Don't know the current stats, but a couple of years ago, drugs, gun trafficking and human trafficking were the 3 top lucrative enterprises of organized crime in Canada.

Maybe NO was actually seen with DG and not AL, his grandfather.

I know someone who has ordered a machine gun in parts and he did it with a group of friends. I have even seen the weapon. He is not a violent person but a wealthy one and he likes toys and show pieces. It is locked up in a safe.

If you are referring to the sighting in BC by Kaley's friend it was stated to be at the end of August, early September. So it couldn't be DG as he was in jail during that time.

Sorry I'm so late in responding to this, I just got off of work.
Thanks for laying it out like that, Lala. And for the record, I never find you long winded. You are always interesting.
Like you and Tinkerbel (with her puzzle and hammer analogy), I'm pretty sure we're missing something too.

cut out a piece of 1/2" plywood, put in bag and bag ceases being unmanageable and floppy. screw into the plywood 4 industrial casters and that bag has now become an easily moved bag when over loaded. sew two belts into it and floppy contents can be more lengthwise for even easier transportation.

You are scary, Mister :)

Perhaps but then why not put 3 murders instead of 2?

I think we will have to wait and see just how accurate that type of information is. Again, nothing has even been proven in court. JMO. I will dig around a little but I still think it was a clerk or admin. that got ahead of things, or a typo.

Where was Winter's located a couple years ago?

I have 2 other addresses for Winter, I will post them when I get home. I would also like to compare that to the Alberta business registry for the date of the number company.

If the guy was seething inside for 7 years and dreaming about exacting his vengeance about his name failing to be included on a patent which apparently failed anyway, and he dreamt of brutalizing the offender, but he takes the bodies with him.. why not wait until you've taken them to a private, secluded location where you aren't going to necessarily run out of time, before performing the butality part. Also, a poster recently mentioned that he seems to be rather particular/neat, as seen by his truck and the Airdrie property; injections would have been so much neater, and I would think perhaps even more satisfying to think that perhaps LE might come up with a blank when trying to determine what happened. IDK either, just wondering.......

I had thought of the injection business too but considered it a little bit too 'prime time' to consider. You could be on to something, though.
But, if we are to believe the O'Brien's neighbour, there was "blood everywhere" in the home when JO arrived in the morning.

Haha re the typical hockey bag scent being pretty vicious.. our family has one that we use as a great big duffle bag/suitcase (never used for hockey equipment of course), and I do believe it is actually big enough for our entire family to fit into.. not necessarily big enough for all of the stuff we like to lug with us when we go away though. But still.. I think the bag would be somewhat floppy and not transported very well on a dolly or appliance mover thingy.

bungie cords ........can hold amazing floppy loads onto a dolly IME

The Liknes neighbor, I think it was, almost makes it sound like Helter Skelter. Perhaps he was exaggerating a bit? But then again, a little blood goes a long way. If that were the case, why would it take until 5:15 pm to activate the Amber Alert, and why were LE looking for the victims with the hopes that they were alive for almost 2 weeks? LE stated that they had reason to believe that someone could be in 'medical distress' from the evidence found in the Liknes home, not (sorry, graphic) butchered as the neighbors comment might suggest. JMO.

ratchet straps too, and they are cheap and easy.

That would be the oddest thing if that were AL and NO, where would KL be then? And if she were deceased, what would AL and NO be doing in BC? I would imagine AL would go to LE with whatever information he had. Interesting though. I'm sure LE would've followed up on it.

There was the bit somewhere along the way in all this about AL selling a piece of land on Vancouver Island , to cover a debt or something , a couple of yrs ago. Perhaps he didn't sell it all and still owns a property there. It's hard not to jump at any possible sighting, even now, and hope that somehow ....

Can someone provide a link for the L's neighbours statement about blood? I have not seen it myself. TIA!
