Have you tried Pemberton?

Not yet Cherchri, but I will. Anything about Pemberton that jumps out for you or is it just a random location? It's a beautiful town and close to Whistler.

Just that BC lives there and was a director of Vecto. It's a long shot but maybe?

Do you mean in the Parkhill neighbourhood? I wonder why my 'pin' only shows 2 for Parkhill neighbourhood?

Upon expanding the pin on the map that shows '3' , 2 of the dates are 2014/06/29 at 10 pm. The other entry shows a homicide on 2014/09/14 at 11:30 am.

Irrelevant here, but... recently I stepped on the TINIEST sliver of thin glass.. with the heel of my foot.. I took out the tiny piece, and I just couldn't believe the amount of blood that came out of that tiny little cut on my HEEL. There was literally a small pool of blood.. and of course, I couldn't help thinking, jeez, if my tiny little cut on my heel produced that amount of blood, I can't imagine what it might look like if someone's jugular was hit, or something... I'm thinking a lot of blood can be present no matter what, and each person has their own perception of what a lot of blood is.. and if it isn't all in a neat little puddle, may also be difficult to determine exactly how much, ie could look like a lot more if it is dragged, or whatever, or attempted to have been cleaned up.. so.. I'm thinking that until we know the facts, it's just speculation to speculate.

Me neither. To me it could mean lots of blood on the bed in the bedroom.

I agree the amount of blood can be interpreted differently. Also I wonder if a pool of blood was found or splatter or smears. A couple years ago I witnessed an accident where a man on a bike was crossing a six-lane highway that has a speed limit of 60km/hr. He was hit by a car and flew several feet. I sat with him while we waited for paramedics. When he was carried away the pool of blood left behind was about 15cm in diameter and thick. The blood came from his head. Sadly, he died of his injuries.

Pemberton?? It is a little community on the mainland, north of Whistler. What are your thoughts there??

The smallest cut on the head can create a lot of bleeding as well. As can the nose. Not to mention a finger, I regularly cut my knuckle while doing hair and it's amazing how it bleeds. The foot being the lower extremity will bleed a fair amount.

Blood will generally clot within 15-20 minutes, but can sometimes clot in 10. If a person were on a blood thinner, it would take longer.

Having said that...if there were "massive" amounts of blood at the crime scene, given that a person would bleed for 15-20 mins avg, that would mean a pretty large wound I would assume. If there was "some" blood, then the wound may have been superficial? There may have been blood present at the crime scene, but I've often wondered if that's why LE said there's reason to believe at least one person could be in medical distress...maybe it wasn't about the blood loss. Maybe someone's heart pills, insulin, etc. medication were found as being left behind...maybe the blood is not what prompted LE to state this? Just thinking out loud.

Just that the director of Vecto lives there initials BC. I said further up this thread a long shot but just may be worth looking. The related article referred to the property as " a lot" and the sale price was 32,000. It said Vancouver a Island and not mainland so I am probably quite wrong in suggesting a look at Pemberton.

Oh my how traumatic! That's so sad! That must've been tough.

I might be remembering wrong, but didn't the mover guy who was interviewed say they were cleaning the walls? Maybe I only assumed walls, will try to find article.

If walls, I take it as someone injured while standing depending where it was on the walls. I'm curious if it was walls if it's plural (wall or walls). If plural I take that as more than one person injured or whomever was injured was mobile or moving. I also think more velocity or spatter then if it is walls. And I also think this could've been in a common area if mover saw it. JMO.

I believe the man said there was cleaning on "the walls" I will try to find the quote.

It's just a series of coincidental information that link together, and just peculiar! Nothing too crazy really.

Winter Petroleum is listed as a company (along with many others) to the Transport site.
The transport site is registered to a M*#$ Smith in Panama.
AL supposedly had ties to Panama, KL ties to online websites, so naturally I thought of them.

Now back to MSmith - this person has 142 websites domains registered to her email - not a big deal in internet marketing really but then I saw that chemical archive.com, chemicalunion.com and transportservices.com was registered, they obviously jumped out! I couldn't help think of DG.

So really, just strange. I'm sure it's nothing, but the sleuther in me just can't figure it out.

The chemicalunion.com site info was just updated July 22nd also (link below), so obviously AL,KL nor DG aren't running these, but thought to share anways.

I wonder if its' possible that it's another family member? CL? AL(jr)? There are lots of Liknes', could be one of them could be running it.

Oh, I'm so sorry for both you and that poor gentleman. The pool of blood is probably from his head hitting the pavement, and him laying there stationary. :tears: The blood patterns at the Liknes home probably tell LE a lot about what happened. whether death was pretty much instant, or if a struggle ensued, etc. Also, very sad.

Don't know what that reporter has their knickers in a knot over ... the guy was arrested and appeared before a Justice of the Peace. A JP can issue a PB (probably at the request of a lawyer), and it would seem the PB (if an actual PB was issued) was in place only from the time he was arrested until he appeared in court and was formally charged.

The RCMP (and other LE) don't name an arrested person until they have been formally charged (just as they did not identify DG until he was formally charged):

from:
http://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/man-to...y-boy-grandparents-bodies-not-found-1.1913168

Police would not identify the suspect until he is formally charged, but CTV News has learned that Douglas Garland, 54, was arrested for the second time and there are no other suspects

Given the Liknes surname doesn't show related to any of those sites other than Alvin Liknes / Winter Petroleum, why do you suggest any other family member is affiliated with any of those companies?

And we were just discussing a similar topic. Interesting article for sure!

Interesting article.
Of course they don't want 'mud on their faces' if they were responsible for monitoring this guy's activities, dropped the ball and it resulted in a murder.
If that's what happened, I'm really disappointed that our federal policing agency doesn't have the intestinal fortitude to put their hand up and say "we screwed up". Why lie and cover up? Innocent people get hurt that way.
Of course, we don't know what actually happened here, that's just my general opinion of this kind of thing.
Yes, my friends...possible proof that LE distorts the truth too, they are after all, human. JMO
