If Putin didn't take Crimea, I would recommend the mud baths and balsamic rinse at their fine canine spas.

I joke, I joke.

They do live a life of luxury. They prefer a buttermilk bath and a little apple cider vinegar, with a cool blow dry.

Chinese food - Macleod area - Close to the L home or Winter (did not include the food court at Chinook...yuck!)

Buddha's Veggie
5802 Macleod Trail SW
Calgary, AB T2H 0K1
One of my faves for vegetarian but also serves meat dishes and no MSG, closes at 9, last order is 8:30.
(Winter is 5809 Macleod Tr.)

Ginger Beef Peking House
9629 Macleod Trail South, Calgary, Alberta T2J 0P6, Canada
This used to be in Willow Park and was very popular but it has changed ownership and that usually changes everything. They deliver.

Sunshine Garden Restaurant
4323 MacLeod Trail SW, Calgary, AB T2G 0A3

I am sure there are more...

I'll tell you in an hour.

When I was driving home from my weekly camping trip I noticed areas where deer had been hit by cars the weeks previous, and you know what? those places were still crimson red. So maybe what was washed off had a chemical reaction with "blood" and went black, or it was bile. Does anyone know the colour of bile when it reacts with air?

or maybe it was a mop being carried to the front of the house to be disposed of in a rented disposal container as I'm sure there was much that had gathered in the house that had no value either sentimental or monetary. Ever stop and look at everything that you've acquired and may have just stored deeper and deeper into your abode?

it was also early into the investigation where every nuance is critical, so it may be nothing.

are loners brazen?

BBM

If spilled blood is crimson red a week after an animal is killed, then it has taken a week for the animal to bleed out ... which is unlikely.

"Human blood is always red. The only difference is that when it is oxygenated, it is a bright red, and when it is depleted of oxygen, it is a darker red."

The substance on the sidewalk beside the house was described as a dark liquid, which is consistent with blood.

Loners are very nervy and brazen. Do not under estimate quiet, scrawny, geeky loner types.

I had a loner stalker once and they are the creepiest kind, JMO. I worked at a bar with lots of bikers (some HA even) and my 'regulars' knew I was being harassed by this loner. These big, beefy, tough motorcycle guys, a couple big farm boys and even some guys I knew who worked at the mill with him - tried to intimidate my stalker, told him to back off or else, etc. and he didn't even flinch.

He just kept on staring, kept on coming to my workplace and still followed me home. NERVY.

I started a file with the police who finally scared him with a peace bond (restraining order are only if blood relatives are involved IIRC).

But I have a feeling some of these types aren't bothered or scared by LE even, DG is probably one of them IMO.

ETA - the guys who worked at the mill with him described him as a loner, didn't interact with the rest of the guys. The loner would come to the bar always alone, bad social skills but told the police he went to my workplace with 'all the guys' from work after their shifts! Nervy again.

So it was cold and sitting Chinese not a fresh order.

The best Chinese in cowtown is anything Szechuan and the best is always from those places tucked away between a drycleaners and a tv repair shop in a 70's ultra short-strip mall that lines macleod trail from downtown to out of town. that should narrow it down a bit. honestly though, nobody orders Cantonese in these parts.

This would match your description ;)

I heard it was take-out. JO refers to this at her parent's memorial and it is published. I do recall CH saying the same thing about Chinese food and a hug session and it was in a way that I thought she was participating in that, I would like to find her comment. She was also said to have been at the Estate sale in the afternoon.

I also agree that DG had some sort of intel as to what was taking place that weekend. Whether it was thru his parents, sister, AL, or other family member is the mystery!

Where is information about what was mentioned at the memorial published? I'd like to read the more.

I used to live in East Village and we would go into Chinatown. No exceptions!
I posted two routes from the L. Home to Macleod yesterday. I will look into restaraunts.

Aren't there Chinese restaurants in every strip mall, or within 10 minute driving distance from every house in the city?

I sat with a man who bled out his head along a highway. After he died I went to the spot a few times. 24 hours later the pool of blood was a deep red, the day after that it was blacker with a bit of rusty red. A few days after that it looked dirty and black. It was a busy highway. I assumed it was cleaned up somewhat but I was shocked that I could identify human blood on the pavement where someone had died.

Careful with those essential oils, Tink. :)

Exactly! We wouldn't want anyone's hands to completely vanish from contact with soap making materials.

Really important question's here.

CH had said KL/AL were planning on ordering Chinese and having a group cuddle on the couch.

Did they order Chinese for delivery?
or
For pick-up?

What time did they place the order?

What time was it delivered?
or
Time picked up?

If delivered, who paid?
or
Who picked it up?

Was an order made that was neither picked up, or, a door not answered for delivery?

Did someone else answer the door?

As for my comment and directed to Lori; it's a long weekend, having a big sale, maybe some less than picky relatives came down to help and brought a cot to sleep on. DG really fluked out on not knowing how many people were going to be in the house during his plan.

I believe this wasn't planned but actually happened. JO made the comment at the memorial and said it was a day she'll never forget about the movie, take out and group hug.

Very good questions about details. The sale ended at 7pm I think, I would think they would've ate right after that as most people would be starving after such a busy day.

DG did fluke out alright which is why I don't think dismemberment was planned nor happened... at least at Parkhill.

so it was ordered at ten, before ten, a little after ten? when? when? when?

... or maybe, the family ate dinner, and then Nathan's mother left.

What are you getting at here? Who can eat Chinese around 10pm? I can if I have been drinking.

animals on the highway are removed within hours of a hit so as to remove more animal deaths and/or human car/animal interaction with scavenger animals i.e., bears, coyotes, wolves, bald eagles, hawks etc.

if I remember correctly, the stains are a darker shade of grey, like mop water.

That is super scary! I wonder where he is today? I am glad you took the proper precautions and that nothing happened to you!

It has got to the point that we need to make a list of all msm entries as just finding such things as you're asking takes up valuable sleuthing time.

like a pub, everybody have their favorites where we just call up as a regular, say our name and the order is on the go.

As well I would like one for press conferences. Especially the ones that wendiesan has contributed.
