I guess it is easy to see why they had hopes of NO being found alive, when blood wasn't found in the basement, and yet it was found in the upstairs spare bedroom... when JO had reported both NO and KL had been in the basement bed when she left around 11pm. They may have been able to quickly determine that blood from one of the upstairs bedrooms belonged to an adult female.

DG isn't claiming to be Not Criminally Responsible for the crimes, is he?

My opinion only, but I think that would have been his best bet from what we've heard so far.

Fingerprinting done at crime scenes, Const. Alexon says. Not critical in #Garland case.

Why would fingerprinting not be critical in this case?

My guess is because hundreds of people had gone through the house for the estate sale.

That's what I was thinking, along with the fact that there were no signs of forced entry, which is where you would typically look for suspect fingerprints IMO.

I'm wondering if Kathy heard a commotion upstairs and left Nathan sleeping downstairs to see what was going on. When she got up there DG came at her. That could explain blood in the guest room. I'm putting the cart before the horse. My guess is that evidence will tell us who's blood was found where at some point.

They may have been able to quickly determine that blood from one of the upstairs bedrooms belonged to an adult female.

From what I have been reading it certainly appears as though Alvin and Kathy were likely killed or severely injured initially at the home. It appears as though the kid was likely taken from the home alive to the farm. The killing of the grandparents definitely seems to be premeditated but the child was an after thought.

I'm interested in hearing or seeing what the garage shows for evidence and blood amounts. It has already been mentioned that a bloody dumbell was found in there.

Given that the psychiatrist who met with Garland once a week was completely unable to understand his state of mind, someone deserves a full refund.

In Alberta psychiatrist are covered under health benefits for the province so there is no charge.
