I don't think I knew DG was re-charged with stolen identity - I thought it was just possession of a debit or credit card. Maybe thats the same thing, or maybe I blanked out this detail...
Note this is an old article....

Garland`s criminal history includes drug trafficking and possession of stolen property convictions, after he was caught making amphetamines on his parents' Airdrie acreage in 1992.
After failing to appear at court in 1992 for drug charges, the then 33-year-old Garland disappeared.
A document from the Tax Court of Canada indicates Garland was later discovered living under Matthew Kemper Hartley's stolen identity in Vancouver.
Hartley was a 14-year-old Alberta boy killed in a car crash in 1980.
The same document says Garland suffers from attention deficit disorder and had attended medical school in Alberta for one year before suffering a mental breakdown.
Garland told the court at the time he had been traumatized after causing what he described as a horrific accident after falling asleep behind the wheel. After he was discovered living in Vancouver, Garland returned to Calgary and pleaded guilty to several of the charges in connection to the drug bust and stolen identity, while the others were dropped.

Last year, before being charged with murder, Garland was charged and released on bail for identity theft, again connected to Hartley.

It was days after that he was arrested in a field near his rural Airdrie acreage.

Since MK was killed in a single vehicle accident, I wonder if DG didn't cause the accident by falling asleep and veering into the oncoming lane. The vehicle MK was in, swerved and rolled, killing both occupants. Maybe DG didn't stay around and later read people were killed and knew he "caused a horrific accident." Was MK's accident before of after DG's statements?

Sorry guys, my computer froze up so I'm rebooting it if anyone else can grab the tweets for a bit. Can't post tweets from my iPad TIA

Regarding whether any of the three were alive on the farm...

Not sure if this has been speculated before, but what if LE found used adult diapers at the farm? Would that prove someone wearing a diaper was alive at the farm? Can DNA testing be performed on human waste?

Other chemicals produce same reaction (glow) when the Blue Star exam is done "oxidizer... can cause what is called a false positive"#Garland

Bill GravelandVerified account ‏@BillGraveland 17m17 minutes ago
That can include bleach, detergent and some medals that can cause a "false positive". That's why they swab sites to make sure. #Garland

Lucie Edwardson ‏@MetroLucie 17m17 minutes ago
Walker says this is why they take a swab, so ppl in lab can determine if it actually is blood. #Garland

Lucie Edwardson ‏@MetroLucie 16m16 minutes ago
"It is a searching chemical, allows us to zero in on certain areas, which we can take for further analysis," Walker. #garland #yyc

I go back and forth on this. I always assumed that they were dead when they were taken from the house. Now I'm not entirely sure. I think the computer searches have lead the crown to believe otherwise. I'm also thinking that they would not make these accusations without proof. The forensics might be telling a different story although it's difficult to wrap our heads around it.

To be honest, I'm just going along right now until I see forensics telling the story. Right now, we don't even know who's blood was found where in the house. The forensics have to start talking to figure out what really went down.

IMO,the crown would not state that they were killed at the farm unless they had solid evidence to prove just that.

Do we have anyone from here in the court house? I will be going next week, likely Monday.

During the Bosma trial the crown alleged Tim Bosma was killed in a field. They presented no direct evidence that proved that. That's just what made sense based on all of the other evidence. So i'm not sure the crown needs direct proof they were alive at the farm. All of the other evidence may lead to that conclusion and it will be up to the jury to decide.

That's a bit different I think. You may very well be correct, but my gut feel is that they have some sort of evidence to suggest they were alive at some point at that farm. MOO.

I hope they do have evidence. The more evidence the more solid the case. I just remember during the Bosma trial waiting for the evidence that he was shot in the field and then in the end no evidence of this was presented.

Yep. And the trial's only just begun.

This is a great theory. I have been trying to find some sort of connection where he knew about MKs identity and this makes perfect sense.

I had not seen before now that DG even mentioned causing a horrific accident.

I think this could be very close to what went down. I looked up the timing of when DG was getting into trouble and moving around and I think it does overlap the accident timeframe.
