hi all,i I live 30 minutes from the area and have been around new glasgow and the heathbell road area working the past week,if there are any questions about the area i might be able to help.I dont know any of the family or people invovled but it is a disturbing case for our entire community which is usually a quite place......goodmorning fr truro ns

Based on the description, I believe it may be the trailer marked with a B on my map...? Locals, correct me if I'm wrong. And it seems to be just across the street from where the farm/property where she was found is located.

It is good to hear CF has been arrested. It will ease some people's mind I am sure. The crime involving the cab driver was very brutal with CF choking him with a wire around his neck and FK hitting him over the head with a hammer. The crime tore at the hearts of our community when it happened. Currently... My neighbours told me it was heartbreaking when the school bus stopped at the house being searched, they said the RCMP went onboard the school bus with the kids...what happened I don't know. It must have been scary for the children.

It is hard to believe that someone who has been convicted of murder doesn't even have a mug shot to pass out. I realize he was a minor when convicted, but he wasn't when he was released. I was also surprised that no MSM or LE showed his picture. Seems like getting a picture of him out might help someone possibly remember something. Just found it odd.
So sorry Amber. May justice be served for you when it wasn't fully served for Bob LeBlanc.

the record on Chris Falconer is:
Despite his age, Falconer was charged as an adult with second degree murder back in 1998. He was given a life sentence with no possibility of parole for six years. He was sent to a youth facility until 2000, when he was moved in to an adult prison. It was his first criminal conviction.
So he was not prosecuted in juvenile court but in adult court and served his time. Just stating the facts

There is a NOTE posted by Alice Meier, whose mobile home in Hardwood Hills Rd. has been sealed off and is being searched by the RCMP, in connection to Amber's disappearance.

RCMP officers continue to search a home on Hardwood Hill Road Thursday. Police have had the mobile home and surrounding property secured since a search warrant was executed Tuesday afternoon.

Wonder what kind of seat that is on the roadway - looks to be too big for a regular child's safety seat.

was by there today still lots of activity going on,i believe a mini home was put in there a couple yrs back so the google map is not up to date.sure hope the rcmp is getting the evidence they need to make an arrest soon.I also i haven't been able to get pics of cf either.......

I think that is a case for tools and devices, not a seat. I see metal clasps in front. JMO

On Monday, New Glasgow police impounded a 2002 grey Chevrolet Impala from Vale Road as part of the investigation into the murder of 19 year-old Amber Kirwan. Witnesses said the car, which was parked at 253 Vale Rd., belonged to Falconer.

Amber's funeral

Funeral service for Amber Donna Kirwan of Stellarton will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton.

Interment will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm Friday at P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow.

Family flowers only. Donations may be made in Amber’s memory to the NSCC Foundation for the Amber Kirwan Memorial Fund.
